President Cynthia N Day of Citizens Trust Bank the level of incompetency at this bank needs to be addressed immediately. Solange the branch manager is not doing her job at all. But she has time to joke and play around the office lingering in the copy room doing nothing at all apparently. Refused to give me her bosses information because she doesn't want to be reported. Gave me a retail manager instead. As a member of this bank the service of getting your card SHOULD NOT TAKE 2 MONTHS. It's pathetic and disgraceful that you want community support and can not even stay on task with the simple duty of making sure your client has their card. No I don't recommend more business for you and soon I will end my relationship with you as well.

Detected fraud on my acct. Twice. They opened up new acct. With 50.00 deposit. Then they turned around and took all it back for overdraft fees related to the fraud issue. Leaving my acct., still in and overdraft of 33.00..I got settlements coming in soon. This terrifies me.You can't talk to the President or Vice President of this bank.I would get better results trying to contact Saint Peter.

I've banked with CTB for years. I recently got a mortgage thru them. The process was great and professional. No complaints from me. I think some of these complaints are Trolls, trying to discourage others to not bank here.

I'm not a customer at Citizens Trust Bank, however, we've been praying on it for some time. I did come here to read the reviews because my husband and I were going to move from BOA to this bank. Never had any serious problems with Bank of America just wanted to move our funds to black owned. According to the reviews, you all are not ready for our money just yet. We love our black people but you need to do better with customer service, professionalism, professional security guards, waiting times, and so on. Also, I was looking for a phone number on the internet, unless I overlooked it, I don't even see a phone number to call just in case I have a question for the reps...... Until you are better....... We'll keep our money at BOA, THE CREDIT UNION, & CHASE. LEVEL UP..... Good bye.....

ABSOLUTE FAILURE at communicating with their customers following a well-publicized "upgrade." No way to reach them by phone, no responses to any emails, either direct or by their web portal. Look around, FB for example. Their customer base is being ignored and treated with absolute indifference. UPDATE NOV 10 2021: This bank is EXTREMELY DIFFICULT to reach by phone. Their voice greeting has been referring to “unusually high call volume” for YEARS. They have done nothing to improve. DO NOT BELIEVE “Your call is extremely important to us.” And I get NO RESPONSE at all to repeated written correspondence via their website. NONE, even though I am asking for urgent assistance with obvious fraud and unrecognized debits. This bank fails completely at communications with customers.

In 2017 and 2022 l looked into CTB because l wanted to support my community and this black owned bank. The level of professionalism, customer service, and attitude l received each time was appalling. I would not do business under any circumstances with this bank nor would l recommend anyone else to do so. I EARNED my money and the bank has to earn it to. They're not doing me or any of us a favor.

Wondering where I should start. Late March 2022, I opened an account with minimal funds (to see what my experience would be BEFORE closing my other bank account). Turns out I was wise. Update: It’s now mid-May and I STILL don’t have my card. I just transferred funds to another bank and zero-out the CTB accounts. I’ve had a bad experience with another bank before, but this has been THE worst, unfortunately.

"A relationship you can bank on" is a lie. I went with Citizen's Trust because I believe in racial and economic justice and thought I was doing the best thing. However, when it comes to justice, this bank is not on your side. I had my credit card number stolen from a retailer's website where the thief ordered a lawnmower and had it shipped to his address with his name. I contacted Walmart and told them this wasn't me, requested a stop shipment, asked for my money back, and they told me to file a report to my bank. I spent time that I don't have an abundance of filing a police report and talking to the bank. When I asked the banker if she needed a copy of the police report, she said NO. Fast forward a month, I get a letter from them stating that they were taking Walmart's side and that no error occurred. I looked further into the documentation they sent and it clearly states that the item was ordered from a T-Mobile mobile web app. No one even called me to ask what cell provider I used, they never asked for the full police report, and they never asked me any other questions. They just let someone steal $200 from me and I'm supposed to be okay with that? Hard pass. Y'all made me feel small and insignificant and like no one would listen. I should also point out that because they had the IP address, the police could have figured out who did it. Nope nothing. Money stolen from ME. Can'tt wait to close my account next week.

In reading the reviews especially the bad ones, I WILL be moving my Business Revenue here to support Black Owned Banks. I have an account with One United for personal Banking; Great experience for the past 5 years. We need to support our own in order for them to have adequate funding to make the changes we want to see. When our oppressor's businesses mistreat and or disrespect us, we just take it and keep giving them our money. As a People, we need to learn our history and grow up! I'm looking forward to my new account! Ma'at Hotep Ase' 🇬🇼

I am very dissatisfied with the services provided at this bank. This is the second time I have deposited money in my account in a timely manner. I received a insufficient funds letter when I know that I had more than enough to cover the bill paid. In return ruining my payment history and credit. What are the doing with my money? This is totally unacceptable. I do not recommend this bank to anyone. I will be moving my account to another bank.
