Citizens Savings Bank E Main St, Anamosa

Everyone, and I mean EVERYONE at this bank is friendly and completely knowledgeable of any needs there members may need. I have lived here for two years now, and can tell you from personal experience that they have helped me several times with things that aren't related to banking ! Now that's service that you can't find back east! Iowa nice is a way of life and I love it here.

Upon entering the bank's lobby, I immediately felt unwelcome. Strange, blank expressions were the only thing to greet me as I walked through the door. Exorbitant fees and unreasonable requirements make this bank a non-option for a college student like me. Needless to say, I definitely did NOT open an account here. Do not waste your time at this bank.

I've had a checking account and numerous loans with Citizens for the past 25 years, and have experienced excellent customer service and their willingness to assist me when the need arises. I'm grateful for their "small town" personalization when a large city bank treats you like an account number.

Do not choose this bank. I have had nothing but problems and so has my family. I opened my account at 16, 2 years ago, with my moms name since I was a minor, and they recently, remember after having this account for 2 years, started telling me they could take my money and use it for my moms account whenever she's in the negative. Legally they can do that, so they took $40 of my money to "put in my moms account", one month has passed and the money never got put in her account. They won't tell me where my money is. My guess is that they stole it. Also, I asked to have my account closed because I'm tired of them playing games, gave them my debit card and they said they would close the account. Nope. It's still open. So they basically stole my debit card from me, who knows where it's at and if I deposit money in the account if they're going to use my card or not.This bank is VERY unprofessional. Please go to one of the other two banks in Anamosa.

I loved the old website I could put in a total of what is coming out and then I knew my spending at a glance. Helped me a great deal. Now they moved to an app. It’s been a couple weeks and I absolutely hate the new app. My balances are off and in can’t see my history at all. When I go to machine they don’t balance. They didn’t upload the history from the old site. Took me 15 minutes to figure out how to transfer money, I scheduled payments took me several minutes how to get where I could change the date the bill pay would come out. At one point I started to freak because I thought I couldn’t make any changes period. Just not loving changes after 28 years thinking of changing. Update: after figuring out a few more things, I think I loath this new web site more.you have to go to several spots to see your actual balance and even then I can’t trust it! I love online banking but not this app at all. It’s not user friendly and when I ask a question at the drive up, they had no idea. I work for a bank in customer care, come on Citzens! I can’t imagine what older customers are going through!

with nearly perfect credit, substantial money in the bank and investments, and nearly a six digit yearly income from a contractual job, they turned my partner down for an investment loan because he was going to Afghanistan, commercial lender woman said that it was not in the banks policies to help servicemembers overseas, working in communications there were five ways to get a hold of us 18 hours a day. Community state bank approved our loan in 45 minutes...anyone who thinks the story is unbelievable contact me I kept the emails... citizens literally will not help veterans.

Yea I've never been unhappy with the service I have received from citizens. I don't why people bad mouth them perhaps you should just to a better job at managing your own money and keeping track of your spending. Also I have received nothing but first class service from there entire staff it actually makes going to the bank stress free and not a daunting task moving from my old bank to citizens was the best decision I ever made.

This bank has been great, they are always willing to help and offer alot of services. I have been totally happy with their service!
