Citizens First Bank Main St, The Villages

I don't bank with them however I think I'll start to. It seems there are fees at almost every bank now for things that banks are supposed to do. Like cash checks. I was surprised to find out recently that another bank charges 8 dollars to cash $100 check. Why would it be that a bank (who is holding someone's money, making money lending that money to other people, paying negligible interest)feels entitled to skim 8% just to give someone else's money to me? The only reason they are even part of the transaction has nothing to do with me. I don't need their services. So from now on I am no longer accepting checks and if I must it is a 15% check fee. Unless you bank with citizens.. When I take a check to citizens I'm greeted with a smile and out of there, cash in hand in no time.

Nor.ally I have no problem with Citizens First. NORMALY. Last year I called this branch because our United States Of America flag was ,tattered ,torn and faded. I had to call two week to get them to change it. Today I see it is in dire need of replacement The lady that answers the phone told me it was in the process. Last year that took several weeks. I tried to explain to her but she immediately copped an attitude. Obvious she has no family that served for our country.

I'm a bank customer. I went in to get my signature notarized on an Ohio title. They said they couldn't do it and sent me to the tax collector/bmv office. They easily took care of it and laughed when told them the bank would not do it. I knew the staff did not know what they were talking about when they said the bmv could check the VIN number. All that was needed was for them to notarize my signature!

Most uncooperative bank I have ever been a member of. I am a villages residint and selling houses in Virginia. Twice now. About 6 months apart I have requested services by a Citizens First notary public and been refused. I have proper id. Pretty well funded. Refused service. No problem anywhere else. Will not be a customer much longer.

During these trying times I am struggling like most Americans... I called Citizens Last for help and got a lecture on getting online banking!! Im researching a better bank today as I love TD but they're not opening in the Villages til next year... I will find a less patronizing bank.

There are better places to bank than a place that hates homeless people and their community. Pathetic.

"God bless the homeless", but keep them out of sight, eh?
