Terrible service. Lady was clueless after telling her my card was declined at another store because it was a big purchase. I asked her what should I do and she proceeds to tell me "What do you mean? So what should I do " in a rude tone. Pathetic.

So I wanted to make a deposit on a Saturday it took more then 20 minutes to make a deposit and I'm still waiting as of right now. Need more staff in this back for sure. Thank God I'm off today otherwise I would have been fired from my job for being late half hour.

The ATM is not working most of the time. Can’t make deposits so I have to drive around from bank to bank to find a working ATM after hours. Very Inconvenient and annoying.

This is the worst branch/team. They made a mistake with my account a few times by taking money out of my account. The branch manager was rude and breached my privacy and confidentiality. Another staff by the name of Jordan insulted me and was very rude and disrespectful. Avoid this branch.

1 star because was not an option. Went to bank last Thursday to use my business atm card. The machine retained my card. Contacted "customer service", who wanted to debate whether my card was detained or "eaten" by the atm machine. Spoke to supervisor who advised they would send card out to be received by Monday. It is now Wednesday and no card. Contacted "customer service" today ... "Card was never ordered". Garbage company.

In December last year I went to a branch in Dearborn to apply for a line of credit. The whole experience has been horrifying. The lady that was in charge of my loan was not knowledgeable at all. I dropped off the papers at the branch before Christmas and I hadn't heard from her at all for weeks. After New Year I went to the branch and she said she had faxed all the needed documentation to the loan department. However, when I called the loan department they said they didn't have any of my papers. So, the next day I faxed all the papers myself. This is all the work that the banker should have been doing for me. Once I confirmed with the loan department they had received my documents I followed up with them a few days later. Also, I confirmed with them that the interest rate for my line of credit was 3.99% APY. Of course I hadn’t heard back from Houda again, so I followed up with her for the closing date. She confirmed the interest rate of 3.99% APY, but said the closing was cancelled. Again, I had to follow up with the loan department. They said the closing wasn’t cancelled. Houda again was not helping. I had to schedule the closing on my own in order to get this done. I went to the branch to schedule the closing with her for that Friday and she assured me she will be there. However, when we got there she wasn’t at the branch. I went with my wife and my two sons, since we all had to sign the documents. The branch Manager, Lori Coyne, helped us with the papers. Ms. Coyne as well said the interest rate is 3.99% APY. My son asked her for a copy of all the papers that we signed. She said she put everything in the envelope for us. The papers that we have are not signed. There is no documentation of the APY in the packet that Ms. Coyne gave us to take home. When I checked at the branch two days ago, Ms. Coyne told me she is not able to give me a copy of my papers, and the interest rate is 7.24% APY. First she said she remembered me and she remembered the interest rate she had told us, 3.99%, and then she said she didn’t remember me. This whole experience has been unbelievable. The employees that have helped us throughout this process have been everything but helpful. There hasn’t been any knowledge shown from their end. It is unbelievable that these people run the banks these days, and they probably don’t have the necessary training needed to sell these financial products. It is scary to know that as consumers we trust these people with our money as well as our confidential information. The bank needs to be held liable because when there are any interest bearing products sold to consumers all the disclosures need to be given at time of signing and all the information needs to be disclosed on the papers. I am requesting this to be resolved in a timely manner, or I will have to seek legal help regarding my line of credit. I was lied to about the interest rate more than once. My whole family heard Lori Coyne when she told us the interest rate. Now, I can’t close the line of credit for three years, and if I do I have to pay a penalty for it. Also, I can’t go and apply for one at a different bank, where the interest rates are below 4% APY. My whole family banks at Charter One and I have been a customer for a long time. After someone contacted us regarding this issue, we were assured that they will look into it. We were even given a number for a lady from Rhode Island. She said to contact her if we have any questions. In a two week period I called her a few times and left three voicemails. So, of course I never heard from her. This has shown me that no one is willing to help and admit the mistakes of their uneducated staff. I have finally transferred my payroll and bills to a different bank and my account will be closed immediately. As for Charter One Bank, so called Citizens, I will never have anything positive to say.

Called customer service and they were so rude. I asked for contact information for upper management and Tom informed me that no one is above him. I've been with Charter One for years I think it's time to move on .
