Tim and his team were pretty good. Communication was poor. I was having to chase after them. I get they are busy and my loan wasn't that big. As a result of the slow process, I had to buy down some points even though in the beginning he told me I wouldn't have to. He said the reason is that too much time went by to close the loan. I'm still happy that I refinanced and got a pretty good rate but would've been even better if it didn't cost me additional for the slow response on their part. Would I use them again? Maybe.
I'm not aware of any client that has had to chase me down to communicate with me, especially recently. My team and I work very hard to stay in contact with all my clients on a regular basis. Our turn times on files from start to finish are about 30 days unless there are issues brought to our attention from underwriting that's needs extra due diligence. Our company never promotes buying down an interest rate with points unless they request it or it's in their best interest. I'm happy to discuss your experience more with you at a time that's convenient.

Tim communicated with us to let us know what was going on through each step. As first-time homebuyers, he answered the MANY questions we had with detail and clarity. He even sent us two Starbucks gift cards in the mail when we got pre-approved and after final approval. He was great to work with, and we’ve already begun telling our friends and family about Tim and Churchill.
