CheckSmart Shadeland Ave, Indianapolis

I have been a customer for years and have always been patient regarding the RIDICULOUSLY long lines!!! I can’t take it any more!!! Ten service windows and two Tellers?? I have been here for 30 minutes already and still 9 people in front of me??? I am over it! Not coming back ever. I can honestly say, if you don’t have 2-hours to waste, DO NOT COME HERE!! 10th & Shadeland Ave. Indianapolis east-side, is the worst

I was told to bring in a personal business check, that they will would cash the check at the best rate possible. Got there, come to find out. They couldn't cash the check because they couldn't get a hold of their manager?? I called the owner of the business, they wouldn't talk to them because his business number was a cell phone, went to PLS had no issues cashing the check. I wouldn't recommend anyone to use check smart. They treated me like I was a criminal, cashing a bad check. GO TO PLS!!!!!!!

Always very professional/helpful and resourceful! Aaron (sp?) is a great banker/teller to work with at this location.

They should pick up their phones to tell people their hours have changed and post those changes online...not everyone has time to drive to their location (twice!) to find out that they aren’t open when they should be.

It's one thing to be friendly but it's another to have whole conversations with customers while there are others waiting. This stores employees are in no hurry to make there customers experience pleasant.

Worst customer service ever! Maybe the girl was new but no excuse to be rude and unwilling to help! As soon as i told her i had a coupon for a loan she dismissed it and said "Oh that's only if you refer someone", i asked her to look at the coupon and showed her where it said i would get 50% off my first loan. It seemed she had a whole attitude due to the way she sighed and said "well i ain't never did this before so i gotta go get somebody" someone came and helped her. If she didn't have an attitude at that point she definitely did when i politely asked if i could take out another loan! Now it was my mistake that i didn't have a new paystub but i figured it wouldn't hurt to ask if there was any way i could show my direct deposit amount to the bank or if they can use my last paystub because it was within 30 days. She literally rolled her eyes and said "That means im go have to reverify your employment and everything" i was trying to understand if they could or not because she acted like she could but it would be too much trouble! I told her i can request verification of my employment online through a website! While i was looking it up on my phone she told to me to and i quote "Could you move over so i can help the lady behind you, because right now im the only one with a drawer" Now i didn't realize somone else had came in otherwise i would have out of courtesy step to the side while i pulled up the information! The way she said it was so rude! I had to share! They gotta do better! Needless to say i had to go somewhere else to take out a loan i didn't want to inconvenience them any longer!😔

I find it very convenient that five minutes before the checksmart on 19th and shadeland closes that they are having computer issues. It would have taken 2 minutes to cash my check, but no they didn't want to wait on anyone.

I have been going here for two years never had to wait over 30 minutes even with new people. Never had any problems from any employee always been treated with respect

Longest wait times 40+mins just to get to the front, horrible customer service, and no one has any answers to the most basic questions; they need more of a staff and better training
