I'd not been to a check cashing place in over 15 years. I pulled up, with my passport/NY driver's license and a check from a corporation for a few hundred dollars. First thing, after no greeting at all, he asks "have you been here b4?" I shake my head and say "I haven't been to a check cashing in a long time" I hand him my passport. He doesn't even look at it and says "I can't cash this" I asked why. He's says"bc I can't verify YOU". I left. And I saw where the check was drawn on, went there, & they charged me half the price to cash the check than this check cashing place. I don't advise going here for many reasons. The first being the unwelcoming attitude as soon as I walked in. And, after hardly looking at my passport and valid NYS driver's license, he "couldn't verify me". How much more identification do I need? Would I have? This is a rhetorical question.
