Chase Bank OH, Sunbury

The branch itself is nicely furnished, clean and spacious. Great parking. The service itself was lousy. There was 4 people working in offices. One of the four had customers inside the office Three were seated without customers. One of the three had an appointment set for 3:30pm. (45 minutes after our arrival). One of the three approached and asked if we had been helped. We stated we had not. We were then asked what we were there for today. I wish i would have said i was there to apply for a loan or open a new account. When i advised we were there to make some changes to a couple of existing accounts i was told "um, let me see if someones available to help you with that". A couple of minutes later i was asked to come back at a later time or date, and/or schedule an appointment online for a future appointment. Its horrible that i was first asked what i was there to do that day in order to determine if someone was willing to assist us in that moment. I work nights and days, I have extremely limited time off, and very seldom can i coordinate that time off with my wife. As i previously mentioned, i wish i would have said i was there to open an account or apply for a loan. Do better Chase, do better. I have been a customer since approximately 2006, with a few personal checking accounts, savings, lines of credit & business accounts.

Outside ATM is closest to 43031 where CHASE took our only branch and ATM away. Always out of service, then the inside ATM just malfunctioned and basically ate $40. Of course the 1-800 CHASE people can't help/don't care, it's after hours!!

This branch has never been helpful. They don't answer their phones and nothing can be done without an appointment regardless of how empty they are. I will for now on go out of my way to use a different branch. Don't waste your time at this one.

Chase has good technology, mediocre customer services, and I always run into hassle with the Sunbury branch. If I have something I really need to get done, then it's worth driving to Westerville or Polaris because that's likely where I'm going to end up anyway. The manager at this Chase makes up her own policies that aren't corporate policies at all.

I visited this branch a few days ago to deposit a check, the process went ok... They however put a 10 day hold on the check. The check was made out to my mother in-law, she signed it over to me. I went back to this branch the following day to ask about the hold and to see if there was anything else I could do to release the hold. The personal banker that i spoke to said there was nothing he could do. He didn't even bother to lookup my account. So I decided to visit another branch near Upper Arlington located on Henderson Rd. The banker I talked to was very polite, he looked up my account and called corporate and talked with other people in the branch, he said that it was possible to lift the hold. Long story short was that I needed to bring the original person who the check was made out into the branch so they could verify identity, so the next day i did so and they released the hold and presto the funds were available in my account. If I could give the Sunbury branch no stars I would, avoid going into the bank and speaking to the staff there, they are disrespectful and rude, not willing to do their job. I will continue to bank with Chase as a bank there are wonderful and have many features that make banking easier, however if I need to speak to a banker I will travel 20 miles into Columbus and goto a branch there.

Staff is nice! But you need to have an appointment to setup a account? Glass inside is disgusting and needs cleaned. And why is it the staff is always acting like they are on something when walking in? Idk just my opinion😁 learn to clean!
