Chase Bank State St, Albany

Showed up here since I needed to process a quick task, the banker who helped me was very friendly. They have a couple of ATMs in here. Convenient location along with friendly and professional staff. Chase bank’s tech is amazing but every now and then you need to do stuff at a branch. A definite recommendation if you are in the area and you need to access banking services.

Well, this particular location gives you a taste of the future of retail banking. I received an offer to open an account and came here to do it. There is no free parking around the location, so I paid for the parking; no problem, I expected it, but something to consider if you plan to bank here. As you enter, there is one ATM and one very young-looking teller/customer service representative. Really, just one teller - I was alone in the bank, but imagine if 15 people needed service at any point in time. Told the teller that I would like to open an account and was told that the wait is one hour and he can set up an appointment for me to come at another time. They have four customer reps but all are "booked up". Fine, the $$$ offer to open an account was tempting, but I see where all the negative reviews on Google Maps are coming from. Apparently the phone app has its own share of issues, so if you have to come to the physical branch to resolve, then you may be facing the scenario above. I will stick with my local bank for now.

This is a review of chase bank overall. While I’ve banked with them for many years, and the service was fine, it is no longer acceptable. Chase is the biggest funder of oil and gas development in the world. I can’t in good conscience bank with them until this money losing and dangerous policy ends.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this branch! People that work here are so nice and friendly. They do whatever they can to help their customers. Love their professionalism! Definitely the best branch in the area.

I have banked with Chase for years and of all the branch locations that I have visited, this one, by far, has exceeded my expectations. The branch manager has reached out to me on numerous occasions to check in and make sure that my banking needs are being met, even without me asking. He was very informative and professional. The entire staff have always been friendly and cordial, with prompt service.

Not Happy! How do you have two customers, one new and one existing and have the new customer wait 9 days for a check!? If I wanted to commit fraud I would not open a checking account. This rating does not reflect this particular branch, but I'm tagging corporate in this one. I have been without money for 9 days because of this. This is a great inconvenience to me. It is now 12:46am on the date that is on my receipt of the "latest" date it would be cleared. I have bills do and have been sacrificing all week and killing myself at work so people in this city can live normal lives while you take my money make interest off it and gamble it away in the market. Not right. Bank Justice Reform is much needed. Why should we suffer while you surf?

One teller. One client walked out. Only two teller windows. Nice gentleman waited on me, but this needs both windows open at all times, as the wait was too long.

Really Really like this branch! Bankers are friendly with efficiently work!

They only make credit and debit card payments. But there are machines to make transactions. The bad thing is that nobody speaks Spanish.
