Chase Bank Reviews

I own a small business and always thought I would choose a credit union for my banking. When I looked more into Chase and worked with a gentlemen named Jonathan at this location - it became clear to me that there was everything I needed at this local branch. The customer service, support, rates and guidance he and the staff have given us - I am so thankful we made this choice. Every time we walk through the door we are taken care of, but we can handle almost everything online. Thank you Jonathan (and your teammate Jose today) for always being so helpful!

Everytime I come here the line moves soooo slow. Pacific Premier is much much faster. The bank counter is about 60 feet long and only 2 or if lucky 3 tellers. Avoid.

Pretty disappointed. I stopped in to get a small amount of change made ($25 in 1's) for a local business located across the street. After waiting in line for almost 10 minutes (two tellers on at 4pm on a Friday) the teller refused my request as I am not an account holder at Chase. I get that is their policy but would it really have harmed them in any way, shape or form to make the change for me? Seems silly. Good news for them is that there is now absolutely no chance I will ever open an account with Chase. Doesn't take much to do little things to serve your community, clearly that isn't something that concerns Chase.

Sorry Chase Bank. We will never bank with you ever again. Tired of being nickel-and-dimed for everything. No true free checking for low income earners. You do realize charging a $12 monthly fee is a big deal to people that can't have a direct deposit of $500 at one time, right? This doesn't even apply to me, but it's the principle of the matter! Obviously you could care less about improving your customer's financial well-being. Otherwise poor people would be the FIRST ones to qualify for a free checking account, not the last! Oh, and stop calling us! (this applies to this branch.) We closed our account for a reason. No wonder people hate big banks! We use ING and a local credit union and could not be happier. P.S. - We have already persuaded my sister to close her account with you too!

Horrible service, horrible people. I was told that I would be able to talk to a personal banker any time I called instead of having to call an 800 #. However, every time I call I'm directed to call an 800 number after which I get transferred and put on hold multiple times every time. And in the latest horrendous customer service move, Chase has refused a request to refund two $34.00(!!!) insufficient funds fees caused by my account not displaying the correct balance before I made a transfer. I spoke with someone at the branch, who said they couldn't refund the fees and that I should call the 800# on my card. Typical. So I called that 800#, only to be told that someone at the branch specifically put an alert for the 800# customer service reps to not refund any fees (after the person at the branch told me to call the 800# to get the fees refunded)!!! What kind of person does something like that? I called the branch back and they straight out lied and told me they had not put any block on refunding the fees, and that the Branch Manager Jill couldn't be bothered to speak with me about such an urgent issue at that time and would have to call me back later. So now I'm being referred back and forth from the branch to the 800# just to try to get these excessive fees refunded so I can visit my family for Christmas without worrying about my bank account balance. I've been a customer for several yeas and have put up with Chase's underhanded tactics only because it's such a hassle to switch banks. But this is the last straw. Time to find a new bank... and warn everyone to stay away from a bank that would treat a customer so horribly, especially right before Christmas. Shame on Chase - just reprehensible. Thanks Chase - you get the award for the Scrooge-iest business of the year. And I'll be telling everyone I know about this.

Very nice branch experience on May 2, 2022. I went in to ask about opening a new credit card. The woman I spoke to at the teller desk said that everyone was busy, but she could help me make an appointment. Fortunately she was able to get me an appointment two hours later that day, which was fine for me. I returned a little before my appointment time, was able to use the wifi for a few minutes, then Jose came and found me. He was friendly and professional, we got started right away, things moved along at a nice pace. He told me that the card I asked about was designed for travel benefits, which is what I wanted. He explained the sign-up bonus offer, collected the information needed for my application, submitted it and I was approved. Although I was initially told it might take 30 minutes total, we were done in about 10 minutes. Really appreciated the helpful and professional employees here, excellent communication about what to expect throughout the process, and the convenience of this location.

Outstanding! Jonathon helped me open my investment account and got me approval on a new credit card. He was very polite and professional but also very easy to talk to, making the transaction outstanding. I can't remember the finance guys name but he was also super cool. I had a great experience and would recommend anyone to work with Jonathon and this branch.

I’ve been a Chase customer for over 10 years, first in Palm Springs and for the last year and a half in San Luis Obispo. I have been totally satisfied with the bank services and with friendly and helpful staff wherever I have gone. I love Chase’s mobile app too as it has so many features available.

got my “military” account set up with John over at the chase bank downtown slo. Come to find out they don’t honor our service. He set me up with a normal account racking up multiple charges for atm Fees. Thanks for all your help John. 🤏🏼

Went in while the bank is having a huge outage and I was pretty understanding about it but also quite sad at the fact my bills will be paid late. I didn't get her name but the Middle Ages women at the counter was quite rude and considerably inconsiderate. I understand they are having problems with their system, but she she could at least have been nicer.
