I came in and purchased a 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L. This is something my husband and I had been going back and forth about since the car came out. We finally decided to take the leap and complete the purchase. Sean was in constant contact with us and made sure we understand exactly what features each car had and how to use them. He took time after and before our test drive, on his own time to inspect the vehicle. This is the 3rd car we've purchased from Sean and as always we left beyond pleased. I bought a 2022 Jeep Willy. I had a great experience the moment I walked through the door. My salesman left and I thought I would be discarded. I had to come in and TODD GREENE came up to me and let me know he would help me any way he could. I jokingly gave him a hard time b/c they didn't have any pink jeep baseball caps for sale at the dealership. He took my number and told me he would check on that. He called me and told me he had something for me. He told me that the pink hats were discontinued at the dealership, he went and ordered and bought me one and surprised me with it. He went above and beyond. He makes sure and checks in with me to see how I am doing with the jeep and has offered to help me figure out everything about the jeep. I love my new 2022 Ram that I just leased from Sean Scherer. He is the best salesman I’ve ever worked with! He was kind, knowledgeable, and he always followed through on his word. He got back with me quickly on every request and he definitely didn’t BS me during the process. He even sent me a personalized and enthusiastic video that had me sold before I even saw it in person. Had a horrible time taking my jeep to the service dept here. I bought my jeep from another dealership far away, and it’s still under warranty. So naturally when I had issues come up with it, I called this dealership to ask if they honored my jeeps warranty and was told they did. I got there, they looked at it, said hopefully based on my description of the issues happening that it would be covered. Of course, the part that needed replacing and the work to do so wasn’t covered. That’s not the issue I have though. I was told my throttle body unit needed to be replaced and the fuel line serviced. I looked it up, and sure enough it’s a common thing with my model of jeep. I also found quotes of work for that job anywhere from $300-$500. They wanted $1800 at Champion. I said no way, and they would only go down to $1400. I took my jeep elsewhere and had the exact work quoted done for approx. $450. Champion still charged me $250 just to look at it. What a rip off. Furthermore, I asked when I called if they did details as I have a good bit of dog hair in my jeep. They said yes! They were even running a special, $150 flat rate for the details. Upon taking it in they wanted $250 instead even after I mentioned the special, and when on to tell me they wouldn’t do the special since there’s dog hair. The service liaison helping me was short and rude to me, and tried selling me tires at least a dozen times through this experience. What a waste of my time and money.

I normally do not leave reviews however, this one deserves it! It was such a pleasure working with this dealership again. The transaction took longer than usual, but the overall experience was extremely good. I went in for an oil change, tire rotation and to have my tail light fixed because of moisture inside of it. The service technician who worked with me was professional, courteous and explained everything that needed to be done, including the fact that the necessary part to fix the tail light had to be ordered. We scheduled a day for me to bring in my car for the fix on a day convenient for me. All in all, I was very pleased with my experience at Champion

I can’t say enough about the team at Champion. I recently made my second vehicle purchase of the year through them. It was a difficult situation with time constructions on a holiday weekend and they came through for me on EVERYTHING. From selecting the best vehicle for my needs to getting me a price we can live with , they took care of everything every step of the way. I will NEVER shop anywhere else for a vehicle, no one comes close to their quality of service. No one.

They will try to get over on you. I had a terrible experience on 1/18/22. Told them my budget and what number to stay around for my payments. Told them multiple times don’t even run my credit unless I’m close to my desired monthly payments. They said they had a couple trucks around that range and took 1 for a test drive. Got back and they reassured me my payments would be close to what i asked. Ran my credit and shotgunned it to 4 different lenders. Came back with a price double my monthly payments. What a waste of an hour and a half and lowered my credit score for no reason at all. If the cars are too expensive, thats fine, just tell me that so i can go somewhere else. They even had other vehicles in my price range but id rather not deal with people like that so i left and got a similar truck down the road.

If I could give this dealership 0 stars, I would. I have brought my wrangler there 5 different times now- after the 4th time and stating my frustration with a vehicle that had 10k miles on it, they finally got something done. When I went to pick it up, they couldn’t find my name in the computer. I also had to use the enterprise vehicle for less than 8 hours. I noticed my $50 deposit wasn’t returned, so I called and questioned them - they said that I returned the vehicle 4 days later than I actually did and it came under the gas amount that they gave it to me. So in other words, Chrysler used the rental under my insurance and the gas I put in it. Maybe anticipating I wouldn’t notice? Not sure. Terrible experience.

Salesman I had was great. I doubt he even still works there. Service department is unreliable and they will not notify you if they're running behind. First they had my vehicle for a minor window issue. It would roll up, but only go down a few inches. They had it for 10 days while waiting for the part. I could have been driving it while they were waiting, but they kept saying "tomorrow, tomorrow." They would not offer a loaner. And when they did find the part, they drove my car 100+ miles round trip to a Chevy dealer in another city because they did not have the ability to work on Chevy vehicles. I've tried to get my oil changed there 3 times since my recent purchase. Not just 3 times for one oil change, but each time my oil was due to be changed. I've had to reschedule twice in the past week and still haven't gotten my oil changed...these are the oil changes I was guaranteed for 3 years with my vehicle purchase. They told me La Fontaine would honor the oil change and when I called them they were rude to me and said "Yea a lot of people think they can just get free things." I ended up just going to Fast Eddies that time. They have never done the oil change they promised in my purchase. I have paid for every one at other reputable businesses. I've never had to wait more than an hour ANYWHERE in my life for an oil change... especially if I had an appointment. I'll pay for my own oil changes and will not recommend anyone purchase a vehicle or use their service department. The sales manager even acted like I was breaking his bank by asking him the throw in the oil changes (this is very common when you purchase a vehicle at a dealership or anywhere with a service department, so always ask if they don't offer). Super disappointed. Forgot to add, was given 2 broken key fobs, they gave me one, made me pay over 50+ dollars for the 2nd. Update 2/22/22. - no one has called. They will tell you a manager will call, but just trying to look better for Google reviews. Taking it down to 1 star.

Bought my Jeep Wrangler elsewhere then less a month later, started having major problems. Took it to Champion and Phil in service was amazing. He went above and beyond with his customer service and figuring things out with and for me. Even in the inventory shortage we are in and the struggle of getting parts, he made it happen to find the parts needed to fix my jeeps problem. Definitely recommend Champion Service and Phil 🤩

My 2012 Dodge Durango has gone haywire suddenly and is undrivable without doing more damage. I have called other dealerships prior to connecting with Champion and have been told the next available appointment won't be for another month. Champion had appointments available within a few days. TINA was the service representative I spoke with and she was so polite and understanding of my situation. She went the extra mile to talk with a mechanic to ensure I will be taken care of at my scheduled appointment time. Let's hope my vehicle is fixable. If their mechanics are as great as their call representative then I am certain that I am in great hands. EXCELLENT SERVICE!

Bought a vehicle from this place. Less than one week later there was a 3 cylinder misfire. The vehicle was jerking and having a lot of mechanical issue. Brought the vehicle into their shop and they said they can not work on it today when they scheduled me to bring it in. The next following day "I" had to call in to check on the status of my vehicle and they reported that it stopped working. So why exactly did they did not call me when that happen? They did not explain the issue nor did they explain what they are working on and did not give me a quote on the repair.

Been waiting since November for a recall part. I went in for routine oil change and to get the part put in. No part. Waited 2 weeks they had me come in for the recall work, had me wait 3 hrs in the lobby before they told me the part wasnt even in stock. They then apologized and told me they would come and pick up my car when the part was in. That was 3 months ago. They refuse to return my calls and the manager never seems to be available no matter what time i call. :re for the dealership in regards to my contact info. If jeff would ever check his voicemail he would have my contact info on hand. There should be at least 6 calls with my name and number. My business has been lost. I went to LaFontaine.

This was my 2nd time taking my car in to Champion, the 1st time I had such a positive experience with Philip as my service liaison. He was a great communicator and was very organized. So naturally I was happy to take my car back. I needed a new transmission and was quoted $8500 originally, that wasn’t going to happen. Then I got a new estimate of $6400, which I was going to go with. I was told a time frame in which it would come in, and they basically forgot about me after that. I would call and leave messages for the service liaison (not Philip) and would not get a call back. They treated me like a bother more then a valued customer. I finally got sick of no communication so I went to the service manager, he was no better then the other guy. I would just pop into the shop since no one could be bothered to call me back. Time was going by with no car, I asked about a courtesy vehicle and of course they didn’t have one. But they work with Enterprise. But I couldn’t afford to spend even more $$ since this was going to cost me over $6400. The ETA of the part kept getting pushed back, which I know was out of their control. My complaint is how I was treated and ignored, and was communicated with very little. Maybe they are trained to give VIP service to those who buy brand new vehicles from Champion. I had an older car purchased somewhere else. They had my car for over a month and I was having it towed to a different mechanic who can get me a part to fix my car sooner. Champion still charged me $130 diagnostic after having my car that long with no end result. They also did not make it easy to get my car towed out of there, they couldn’t bother to move it to a side lot for easier access for the tow truck. I will never buy a car or have a car serviced there again after being treated this way.

I bought a used car from this dealer 3 days ago the I have already had to replace the battery and one of the key fobs isn’t working right. When negotiating a deal they wanted to add a $800 reconditioning fee and a $299 theft fee which they tried to sell by saying you will get $2000 from the dealer if your car is stolen that’s not true you get $2000 if you buy your next car from them. If I already had to replace the battery and a key fob isn’t working why did I have to pay an $800 reconditioning fee obviously they didn’t check the car over or test basic things. I will never buy a car from this dealer again and I will never let a friend buy a car from them

I have always been happy with the service at Champion Chrysler but this past week I am so much happier. While on the road (out of town) I was in a multiple car accident where 2 wheels and tires were destroyed. I had to have them replaced by a reputable business that was almost 400 miles from home. When I returned to Lansing I brought the car into Champion and had my usual service man, Philip Wright, inspect the tires and wheels. Next Phil asked me to wait while he checked something out. He then found that the tires and wheels were covered by a protection plan I was unaware of, or had forgotten about. Thanks to Phil I saved over a thousand dollars. This is just one example of why Phil Wright and the people at Champion have made me a very satisfied customer

Do not take your car here for service. They tried to charge me almost 7000.00 for stuff I didn't even need. Diagnosed wrong. Thankfully I got a second opinion from lafontaine and they did a excellent job!

My wife and I went inside with very little hopes that they would be able to us get into a 3rd row vehicle, we don't have the best credit but are building our credit to purchase our new house and our salesman Andrew understood and went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable and confident that he could help and I tell you what, he exceeded our expectations. Andrew asked a few questions and listened to our replies and what we need in a vehicle and he was spot on with his 2nd option in which we chose so we went on to meet with Kevin in finance and let me tell you, what a Great guy! He was very pleasant to talk with, makes you feel right at home and also doesn't take 6hrs to get the paperwork done which I appreciate big time. I would like to also Thank Haley who kept in contact with me leading up to us coming in, she was always a pleasure to talk to and was never pushy which I'm thankful for. I would have to say I am completely unimpressed. My husband and I went in yesterday 5-20-2019 to address an issue with low/flat tires (which should be under warranty). They took the tires off filled them with air dunked them and found no leaks. Sent us on our way with zero resolution. We then drove to Menards about 1+ mile down the road, then had lunch at Denny's on the way back towards the dealership and our tires were low /flat again. Went back to the dealership They took them off and then did the same thing and found a screw in one patched it and did nothing with the other(s) . The patched tire is the front passenger and the rear had nothing done to it. We Came home left the truck parked over night and pictured below is what I woke up to this morning. Yet according to Champion Chrysler Jeep Dodge RAM my tires are fine. What do you think?

I went in and test drove a 2010 Chevrolet Traverse. Had a few concerns about it, they never gave me an answer regarding them. Made me sign some form before they gave me a out the door purchase price, never got the purchase agreement to submit to my bank. Called them 2 times to find out a price on an extended warranty, no response ... couple days later, got a text from Tristan saying the traverse was sold. Poor communication from this dealership caused me to loose the sale of a car. I will not be back Regarding the dealers comment, the sales manager never contacted me after posting my review like they said.

Was feeling pretty burned by the dealership I bought my Jeep from (not Champion's). 4 months owned and it blew the engine. The service here was AMAZING! They were so cooperative, helpful, and proactive about the work needed to be done for me. Randy Dewey went out of his way to not only find the vehicle I wanted but also worked tirelessly on getting me into my price range, all this despite impossibly low inventory and terrible leasing deals from corporate. He and his finance team made this experience amazingly easy. Katie in finance went over all the documents and explained everything well, she even spotted a place where my signature wasn’t on the right line and she reprinted the form right away so we wouldn’t have to come back in. Last fall I had the tires rotated and oil changed. The tires were at 32 PSI (should be 36), and my Jeep had dried soap spots all over it. I had to use the wipers to get home. This time it took 2 hours to do the same service and I asked for NO WASH and they did it anyway with the same results.

Spoke with a salesmen about leasing a new Jeep Wrangler. Stated clearly what I was looking for and the price I was willing to pay. I gave them pdf direct from the Jeep website of the exact build I was looking for. I spoke with the salesmen both in person and on the phone a few times. Salesmen set up an appoint for a few days later in the week to meet and go over numbers. When I arrived for my appointment no work had been done! no numbers worked up no idea if the Jeep I wanted could be found. They told me they could take care of the early lease turn in fee then tried to get me to pay it without a word. then it became we need more down payment and a higher lease payment $150 more per month than listed on the Jeep website. Keep saying the Jeep website is not correct. Are you kidding me? False advertising! Total waste of time. Would not buy from them if you paid me!! Do not waste your time.

I took my son here a couple of weeks ago to look at a car, his first. Before we drove there, he called and was told the car was there. We arrive and the car was on one of their other lots, 2 hours away from us, and they would not transfer it to the Lansing lot because the price was for that area not Lansing. "This location would be higher.", according to the manager. We test drove the only car in his price range. It had issues but he liked it well enough to possibly work out a deal. The manager wouldn't budge on the price. My son said he was paying in cash, yet they brought out a payment sheet for taking out a loan. The payment sheet did not even have the full price of the vehicle nor the out the door price, only what his payments would be at 24, 30 and 36 months. When asked for the full price of the vehicle, the manager came out and seemed very put off that it was even asked. He quoted us more than what it said on the internet and then said the internet price was wrong. With the new price and all of their fees, it put the vehicle over the price of my son's cash budget. The whole interaction had other potential buyers of vehicles shaking their heads in disbelief at our ordeal, saying they would leave too if we were them. Needless to say, we left without purchasing a vehicle and neither of us will ever go back.

Our sales person Kim was very knowledgeable and good at what she does. However, the reason for my 1 star review comes from the customer service we received from Matt the “general manager” the level of disrespect and unprofessional aspect we received from him was unacceptable. We wanted them to come down $2k off the msrp of a new Grand Cherokee, $2k!! us asking for that small amount from the dealer caused a horrible customer experience because from that moment on the way we were spoken to and handled was rude and unwelcoming.Do yourselves a favor and shop around before you go to this champion dealership. They are not willing to work with you one bit even if your offer is extremely reasonable.

I recently purchased a 2021 Jeep Cherokee Limited from Champion. My salesperson was Loren and he was by far the best car salesperson I have ever come in contact with. He did not push any buttons on my" BS alert system". He listened intently to what my desires for a car were and worked with me to make sure that those were met. I had the opportunity to test drive several models of the Cherokee to be sure my purchase fit my needs. I would recommend Loren to anyone looking for a new car. I have also worked with the service department at Champion for several years and have found them to be very polite, informative, and knowledgeable.

Horrible experience. Got my transmission serviced about a month ago and it’s worse than when I took it in. There was no communication besides letting me know when my car was ready. They were supposed to cover my rental cost and took their name off the billing without any warning. I’ve contacted both Champion and Enterprise…no response. My car was there for a week for no reason. My brother also had a horrible experience, so it’s not just me.

I stopped in to get some vehicle prices for my son. As he is looking to buy his first brand new or used vehicle. I have been working really hard to make sure my son makes the best choices when it comes to his very first vehicle purchase. As most are aware, the time to purchase a vehicle is not the best at the moment. Prices are sky high! But my son really needs a vehicle for work in the winter months, and he is dead set on it being a "JEEP". So I pull in this lot, beautiful vehicles. The selection was ok, not the best, but something that peeked our interest. Until I got out, looked at the first car. Reading over the window stickers to find a price, nothing. Moved to the second vehicle, looked for a price nothing. At first I thought I was crazy! Thinking to myself, "I am not seeing the price, it's gotta be in here some place." After walking to the 3rd vehicle and no price. That concerned me ALOT! What kind of place sells products and doesn't label or price them. How are customers supposed to shop, in the dark! I really don't understand the concept here. So this discouraged me a ton! People want to be able to walk onto a car lot, any lot, and shop. This has always been the American way. So I didn't get much accomplished with this trip. I did not want to go inside and have a sales person talk my ear off, or pressure us. I wanted to walk around at my own leisure, review the inventory, get some general ideas of cost, and work from there. As I reviewed other comments on here. I did read several other people posting about lack of price display, or general lack of knowing prices, etc. Words for thought, you might want to put actual prices on your merchandise. You might just get more sales, and more people interested instead of walking away. F.Y.I The only lot I've ever been to in all my years, in the whole state of Michigan, that has no prices! Please fix this problem, we would love to come back to do buisness with you. I will kindly adjust my star rate, once a reply is left with a logical explanation of why you do what you do. Thank you!

I did some research, and there are times when the box that the price pulls from has not been filled in yet because we take the picture before the car is completely in the system. With your help, I have changed the process to be sure the window stickers are not printed and put on the car until it will print with the price. We had a great experience from our arrival. Brad was awesome and extra accommodating, he even drove to Howell to grab a car for us bc my wife wanted to see the tan interior. Bailey, she's amazingly awesome. She was so understanding, never pushy, I felt very comfortable working with her. She didn't try to sell me anything I didn't want. She worked with me when we had some scheduling issues. The finance department didn't try to persuade me in any way. From the minute I walked through the door you could tell the employees actually enjoy working there and working with one another. Lerone from services was very helpful and kind! I was having issues with my tire pressure system. I wanted to make sure there was nothing majorly wrong with the tire. He said that they were booked out till June but he managed to fit me in the day I called! I’m just very relieved there was nothing major wrong with my tire/ rims. They found the issue and it was the sensor. The replaced it for me and washed my car. Great service. Thank you so much!

My husband found a truck he loved at this dealership. When working with the salesman, they refused to do any kind of negotiating saying they don’t need to sell vehicles… ?! Red flag number 1. They don’t want or need our business. My husband goes back to the dealership because again he loves the truck he wants to buy and still zero negotiating. They even worked up numbers for less than what they printed off what they would give him for his trade in value. All in all, he ended up paying over list price because they charge a $299 “theft fee”. That was their negotiating. I hoped my husband would walk away but when it’s the vehicle you really want, unfortunately that’s hard to deal. As he’s signing papers he tells them he wants a veterans plate and they said it would be an up charge of $5. They argued about including that in what he was already paying. A dealership that argues with a vet and says they have to go and I quote “above and beyond” to get this plate, the only red glad you need to shop elsewhere. We certainty won’t be back and I absolutely do not recommend them. If you can find what you want at another dealership, do it. Like they said, they don’t need your business anyway.
I truly apologize for your husband not receiving an excellent experience. Unfortunately In todays market, there is oftentimes little or no room to negotiate on your vehicle purchase. However, we did negotiate the trade in value and came up to meet the value he was looking for. Our used car manager Charlie is also a veteran and worked with you on getting your trade value to an agreeable amount. We did not realize there was a charge and an issue with the veterans plate. As soon as we were made aware, we were happy to pay for the plate. I wish this would have been brought to my attention today while he was at the store so we could make things right. When Charlie spoke with him, he give no indication he had a bad experience. Thank you for your service.

I am giving a one star due to the fact that since I bought my car from the dealership, It has been in their shop since I bought it. I have not been able to enjoy the car like how you enjoy your nice new car. I have not had good service at all. I have contacted people with no return call. As of today my car still remains in the shop with no return date. I bought a used car and of course you may have problems with used cars however I was not expecting to drive off the lot and week later began to have problems, now I have a blown head gasket. I've only had the car 3 months. I am very upset with the service, the communication and all of the above. UPDATE: I have now since received my car back from the service department, I have had communication with Jeff and and also Matt Boxford, I appreciate the communication and the work that has been done on my car. I do understand things happen. I thank Phil for being there for the multiple times I have brought my car into the service department. I hope this will be the LAST time I bring this car in the shop for this reason.

Wife bought a used vehicle here last week. A day after bringing vehicle home check engine light came on. Needs a new sensor. Called this dealer as it has been less than 24 hours since she picked up the vehicle. They refused to even look at the vehicle, saying it was sold as is and there is nothing they can do. Terrible customer service. Stand behind the products you sell. Even if sold as is, it is less than 24 hours. They will do nothing to help the customer. I would never recommend doing business with them, all they look at is the bottom line they do not care about the customer.
Josh I’m sorry that you have an issue with the vehicle you purchased. We always encourage anyone buying an as-is vehicle to take it to their own mechanic using our gas and our plate before buying. We were very clear that once the vehicle leaves the lot, you’re an owner and we won’t fix anything, and this was before you signed any paperwork. You also signed multiple documents stating you understood this and purchased the vehicle as-is. I would be happy to offer you a discounted price on the repair.

Would never waste my time trying to deal with these guys again. Found a Jeep they had posted online for $15900. Drove over an hour to test drive it. Tried to make a deal, but all of a sudden they added in a $1200 prep fee and a $300 theft fee (what a scam). The price they were advertising was significantly lower than the actual price. If they had been upfront and honest from the start I never would have wasted half of my day driving over there.

Edited: Matt (GM) took care of this situation and made it right. He was attentive and direct. The issue was resolved in a professional/timely manner once he was made aware of the problem. Absolute ridiculously poor service and even more atrocious, the false promises given to fix the problem. Ignored phone messages only cause CUSTOMERS to become more frustrated! Try being the dealership you promised to be and earn the 10 rating your affiliates expect. You can do better Champion, so much better. Third time going through this dealer and was sold a car I don’t feel safe in. Since buying it less than 2 months ago it has been back there 4 times and needs to go back again. Every time its been back they have it for multiple days and last time they had it for 5 days. I use my car for work and can’t be without a vehicle. I frequently drive out of town and I’m afraid it will break down somewhere and I will be stranded. They do not offer any kind of rental service or rental reimbursement. Everytime I call they act as though I’m over exaggerating. I am not. Every time I’ve been back there has in fact been major issues. It’s depressing and stressful. I will never go through them again and I’m just hoping to trade this in for something at a different dealership as soon as I can.

Absolutely the worse place to take a car to get fixed ever Phil is rude and mouthy. Jeff says he's going to do things and doesn't and I have brought my truck back to them 5 times and just wasted an hour at the airport to pick up a car that's not there and I would have to pay for with my money even though they said they would cover it
Josh. We offered to pick up your vehicle at work tomorrow, fix it, and bring it back. I’m not sure how that translates into this. The rental car will be paid for by Champion. The money they were asking for was a $50 deposit if damaged while in your possession.

When I initially brought my car in a little over a month ago I was treated quite professionally. I didn't have to wait to see a service advisor and they got my car right in the service area. I was called within 24 hours to be given my estimate which was high but that was expected given the repair. I was told the part had to be ordered and as soon as the part arrived I would be notified of an ETA for the repair. I waited a full week before following up. I left 2 messages which were not replied to before I called to talk to the service manager. After I left her a message, my service advisor finally called me back to tell me there was no ETA on the backordered part (I was never actually told what part it was despite having asked multiple times.). I waited another week and followed up again. Same story, I had to leave multiple messages and have an office secretary leave a written note on my service advisors desk. This time I was told there was still no ETA and the Chysler Rep hadn't been in contact with the service manager. I was told by my service advisor that he would follow up on this and get back to me by the end of the day. Unsurprisingly, no call came. I waited two more days and called back. Again, I had to leave at least three messages before anyone called me back, when I was followed up with this time, it was a brief text (not a huge problem) and then no response to any follow-up questions (problem). Finally, I was told the ETA for the part was the 28th. As I write this, that was 2 days ago. I called this afternoon and after waiting on hold for about 30 mins (I asked to not leave a message because I knew no one would call me back), I was told the ETA for the part was now moved to April 6, nearly 2 more weeks. At the earliest possible time for completion of the repair, I will have had my car with the service department for nearly 2 months. I understand supply chains are not Champion's fault or responsibility, but communication with customers, especially customers who be spending over 2k$ on a repair absolutely is. I am incredibly frustrated and I hate writing google reviews but at this point I'm kind of at wits end. Reading some of the other reviews, it seems communication from the service department is a common complaint. I should have looked closer into how this department operated before I made the appointment. Had I done five minutes of reading, I would have taken my car elsewhere and I am urging anyone who takes the time to read this to do the same. Even if somewhere else is more expensive, I have to imagine it would be worth it.

Lost a sale of a brand new truck. How can a dealer refuse to use a employee discount? Went to LaFontaine Chrysler the next day an purchased a 2021 2500 no issues with the employee discount. Save yourself your own time an go elsewhere.

I would like to update my review now that Lerone and Phil have done everything to make my experiences at champion so much better. I’ve adjusted my review to reflect the great service I’ve been receiving from them from 12/2021 and 4/2022. Phil went out of his way today on a vehicle recall they informed me about two weeks ago and noticed a few chips in my glass and got me a great deal and a great referral to get it taken care of. Phil and Lerone really done what they could to make it better! If you go here, I HIGHLY recommend Phil or Lerone and do not recommend Sorin as a tech. Super nice guy but never calls back or gives any updates. I felt like they were guessing what was wrong previously but Lerone and Phil have made just the guessing games were done and it was taken care of. If I could leave a negative star review for previous service provided by Sorin, I would. 9/20/21: Their service center has god awful customer service. Had my Jeep towed there Friday morning and still don’t have an update on my vehicle and it’s now Monday night. This is the 4th time the vehicle has been in since the beginning of the year leaving us ALMOST 4 FULL WEEKS without a vehicle. The gentleman today was supposed to ask his manager about a loaner and didn’t call back. I know they give loaners because the wrangler I bought was a demo. Literally will never do any business here again. Not only do they never fix my vehicles to 100%, they also take forever doing it. UPDATE: my vehicle was there for over 2 months before it was finally returned on 11/13. It took forever to obtain it when I went there to pick it up because I was told everything would be good but it turns out the service rep who was helping me was not there despite telling me to come that day to get it. I will be making the drive to the south side of Lansing should I have any other problems that require dealership input.

I had a good experience when purchasing a previously leased 2021 dodge charger 4D GT AWD vehicle. The car salesman was knowledgeable and friendly and he helped make the sale as smooth as possible by providing his direct cell phone # and email. I was able to drive off the lot with a great vehicle at a fair price. The only thing that I would suggest is that they should include the theft etching, thats an extra $300, in the listed price. Whatever price is advertised, be prepared to pay for that as that is something that cannot be undone. Its very nice security and piece of mind for sure, just think it'd make sense to add that into the total cost of the vehicle instead of finding out the vehicle has an additional $300 to add on, amongst other costs when purchasing a vehicle from a dealer. I wish I would of noticed the chip in the front windshield as well. I would of asked for that to be replaced, but that is my bad for not looking over the vehicle with a fine tooth comb. They did replace a tire that I questioned about, that was very low on air, when we test drove the vehicle. There was a nail in the tire and provided a new, matching tire without any cost to me. Overall, I had a very good experience and would recommend to family and friends, to keep this dealership in mind when looking for a new/used vehicle.

We had to replace a vehicle due to an accident and some subsequent mechanical issues including a heater that was going to cost more than the value of the car. I went to get another used vehicle, and ended up with a minivan at a price we could afford that was reasonably equipped. The process took some time, about 4 hours, but haven't had a single issue with the vehicle thus far. I've only had to do oil changes and a tire rotation, and some washing and waxing. Today (5/24/20) I traded in my minivan for a pick up truck. The process took about the same time as before. The problem with the minivan was that it was not suited for towing our trailer. Ended up with a 2020 Ram 1500. Service exceeded expectations as always. I will never go anywhere else. (3/19/22) I’ve had to have my truck serviced a few times at the service department, some regular maintenance as well as a few warranty repairs. They still continue to be outstanding with their sales and service. They’ve always gotten my vehicle ready when promised and the last time I had to take it in was for a sensor on my battery for the hybrid system and they actually had it in a day before I really needed my truck. So they exceeded my expectations then

**amendment** Eric fixed the issue! I purchased a Dodge Journey from them last month. Two days ago my coworker noticed my heating shield was hanging. If my coworker didn't notice and my car caught fire with my children in it?!?! I take my car to Champion and am basically told that I have to pay for this to be fixed. They check the vehicles once they receive them and no one noticed that the holes are triple the size they should be? The salesman told me that I would receive a bumper to bumper warranty on the vehicle, when I went to the back to sign paperwork I was told that I only qualify for the used car warranty.... bumper to bumper warranty was the main reason I jumped on the vehicle! My coworker purchased a vehicle last month and had a horrible experience, he noticed scratches all over his hood. I took my SUV to get detailed and guess what....scratches all over. His friend that works at Toyota said we need to contact cooperate and let them know of the issues we’ve been having and that’s what I plan to do.

Had my buddy take his vehicle to their service center, tried telling him that his $100 deductible from his warranty wasn't valid and they need $750 and they can take payment over the phone, and offered to set him up on a payment plan for the deductible... what a joke. Also of course they tried to sell him a rental car and take more money out of his pocket. Disappointing service. I get trying to make money but this is too far. Just lost a customer who would have been loyal to your service department....

Very professional and helpful. I cannot remember the name of the gentleman who was the service advisor, but he was very friendly, patient, and helpful with all my needs. I took my truck in to get the tires rebalanced and I waited patiently for two hours for the balance which took longer than usual on my Ram 1500. Once I got the truck back I noticed the balance issue was not fixed. I still have a fair vibration highway speed, approximately 80 mph. So the issue sill persisted. I shrugged it off and figured I would get the tire rebalanced again. But as I was driving that first week I noticed my new $80 OBD2 scanner was missing out of my glove compartment that I had just bought. This is a common diagnostic tool used on vehicles to scan for error codes in the engine. Common amongst VEHICLE TECHNICIANS for job use... This betrayed my trust as a customer. I shouldn't turn my vehicle in for work and worry about items going missing out of it, regardless of any policy toward missing items. This does not build trust when this happens between customer and dealer. I followed up with a salesman, he said he would cover it, just bring the receipt and they will write a check. So I did. No check received. Followed up with a different salesman who gave me his card and said he would make sure it was handled. Still never received my check. So, honest review here. The service was terrible. They failed to fix my balance issue and failed on multiple occasions to remedy the situation with a refund. After buying our Jeep Compass through the dealership before this happened. I can safely say when the lease is up in two months, I convinced her to not take our business back to them, regardless of offers and we will not purchase or have any service done by this dealership. I also used to work for a car dealership in Lansing and the fact that an $80 tool (plus unfixed balance) lost them their next lease with us and any services. Possibly thousands in investment. My wife and I got to the dealership at 5:30pm on Friday and left at 6:30pm with the new Jeep. They had the license plate, registration and everything done in a very short amount of time! Sean was a great salesman and made us feel comfortable the whole time we were there, as he literally RAN everywhere he needed to go to try to get us out the door as quick as possible....and we didn't even ask for a rushed service! A+++ rating for all aspects of their process. We will be using them for the next one for sure, highly recommend!

Very impressed and thankful. We drove from Texas to visit family and had a leak all of a sudden when we arrived at my mom's. I was looking for a van on the inter-net which I could use in my 'Handy-Man' business. Champion had one that I felt would fill my needs. I live 2 hours away. Sean, the salesman and I discussed over the phone, where I lived and how it would be paid for. He and his manager agreed to give me a 2.5 hour window to get there. When I got there, Sean greeted me at the door. I felt that I was treated like I was buying a New Vehicle instead of the much older unit that I did. I don't feel you can go wrong with these folks..... Most toxic car buying experience I have ever had. Salesman and business center guy changed the price 3-5 times. They both kept adding and subtracting fees but in the end I still paid the highest price without key features I wanted and some I never wanted and was clear about. I looked over two documents I took pictures of and the first one had a higher car price but no theft added. The second one had a lower car price with theft added. Both documents had the same total at the bottom. I also told them no to the warranty but since I wasn’t signing the document I was ignored and other party was pressed until they gave in. Also that price changed as well subtracting key components of warranty I (the payer) actually wanted. The salesman was an impatient hot head man-splaining everything to us and flat out ignored certain questions we had even walking away. We were rarely given any alone time throughout the entire process. We were given five minutes here and there but not enough to actually process and discuss privately. I came with over $5k and still left owing $14400. I wouldn’t recommend this place if you paid me. If you are a white male with cash in hand you might get a decent deal. They had no female salesperson or people of color except the help of course! The whole thing left me feeling disgusted and robbed after saving my hard earned money. The conversations around me were cringe worthy! They cover their I’ll intentions as hand holding the entire process which leads you to the slaughter. All they care about is selling you snake oil! Buyer beware!

Phil in the service department is wonderful from start to finish. I stopped in with quite a few things I wanted done to my vehicle ahead of winter and he was exceptionally knowledgeable about the services and products necessary to optimize my vehicles performance and ensure it is maintained per manufacturer recommendations/specifications. He was extremely vigilant in ensuring a timely turn around time and my vehicle was done sooner than anticipated. He actually stayed late on a Friday evening to meet me personally, so we could go over all services performed and close out the interaction with questions, comments and/or concerns. Actual cost came in below estimate. He’s a straight shooter and ultimately wants what’s best for you and your vehicle. I would highly recommend working with Phil on whatever you may need or want done to your Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, Ram or even other vehicle makes/models!

Bought a jeep from here, the experience wasn't as pleasant as I expected because of the following: - They added $4K, yes $4K, to the vehicle price and made it seem like I'm getting a deal till I showed them the price they had on there website and then they said, oh corporate must have just changed it. Which was a lie. - They charge a $300 theft guard fee not included in the vehicle price online. - They charge a $600 "cleaning" fee not included in the vehicle price online. - They tried to tax me on the extra fees by adding them to the vehicle price. - They wouldn't separate the cleaning fee from the vehicle price but lowered the amount of in proportion to the taxes on the fees which was $45 because they know they can't charge more than $220 in fees in Michigan but that's how they get around it. - They tried to charge me $250 for a new plate even though I told them I had a plate twice. - They gave me a key fob that doesn't work but I'm not even going to bother going back and talking to them about it. - They gave me almost double the price on the protection program then what I found online through FCA and then brought down the price when I showed them a quote but they kept changing the number so of course I didn't buy it. - The sales person kept calling me to come in super early on a Saturday, which I did, only to find he wasn't coming and had someone else handle the paperwork. - The manager just stared at me when I asked him simple questions and wanted me to sign everything without reading a thing, very unprofessional. I felt like his eyes were burning a laser through my head from his intense stares, that or he wanted to punch me. I've bought more than 5 cars and that was the first time I felt so rushed. I can go on and on but I think you all get the point, if you can, go somewhere else for a better experience. If you must buy from there check the numbers and then check them again because I guarantee you they play with them. And don't buy any of the extras because you can get them cheaper from any other dealership if you shop around, guaranteed.

My wife and purchased a 2016 Jeep Cherokee 2 weeks ago. The finance person had us sign up for by weekly payments, never informing us about the fee for the service. I went to cancel the service and they charged me 4 dollar fee for the 2 withdrawals they did. We were charged over $500 dollars for reconditioning and multi point in spection. When we took delivery of the vehicle we noticed several small scratches, we ask that they buff these out, Was in informed that body work could cost over a 1 thousand dollars. Even though the reconditioning supposedly included a full body buffing. The 3 days later we discovered that the windshield washers did not work, it took 3 visits to get them fixed. Theye did pay for it, but again this should have been found in the inspection. Would not recommend this dealership. Mark Simon

They always say to never trust a dealership who marks up over MSRP. I dealt with a salesman named David however it wasn't him as it was the company who trained him. I walked in looking at a 2021 jeep gladiator. Never once did the salesman ask me how I was going to pay for it. Little did he know I had cash to purchase it outright. Luckily as much as I liked the gladiator I refuse to spend my hard earned money at a crooked dealer. I would much rather wait than to help fund a dealership who has poor business practices. I walked in dressed in my normal attire.. Next thing I knew the salesman had to ride with me on a test drive clearly judging my attire and assuming "this kid can't afford it" After coming back from the test drive the typical salesman thing to do is to walk and "go talk" with their new car manager. After 20 minutes of waiting he comes back and shows me what my payments would be.again never once asking me about what I wanted to do. I simply told him to "not worry about the financing" the sheer fact of the matter is he judged me from the moment I walked into the door. Don't worry I walked down to spartan Toyota where they threw me the keys to a brand new Tacoma to test drive. I'm sure Spartan Toyota thanks you for your sheer ignorance. Don't judge a book by its cover and quit marking up your vehicles over MSRP. In case you forgot it stands for "manufacturer suggested retail price" you're selling for the manufacturer. The excuse "well every other dealership is doing it" is exactly why I won't buy from you. Why buy from a dealership that's like every other one?
