I had a great experience with getting my car refinanced through Caribou. The agent that helped me with this process was DANIEL SCHOONMAKER he made the process quick and easy and was able to answer all of my questions with no problem. He was even able to get me a lender that was able to refinance my car due to the mileage on the car which was great because that was my biggest concern. This was the easiest process I've ever done/

Working with Caribou was an excellent experience and I was pleasantly surprised with the outcome as well. It was easy to use, they didn’t ask for the same information twice a, I was able to submit everything online and they always sent over a message with a link that lead exactly where I needed to go. I had visibility into where I was in the process and it went through relatively quickly as well. The other nice thing is that I stayed with Caribou through the whole process until everything was finalized. I wasn’t told this loan might be good for you and then I had to go to another site to apply. I will use them again if/when I need to refinance.

My review is specifically directed at the insurance side of Caribou. I recently refinanced my vehicle going from a rate of 10.35% down to a rate of 2.54%. that segment of my experience was fantastic. However, after I completed the deal I got a call from the insurance side of Caribou. I spoke to people who had no idea what they were doing could not answer simple questions and did not know general information about the businesses they interact with. Shortly after I signed my contract with my new finance company, I started receiving emails threatening that they were going to add an insurance surcharge because I wasn't covered enough. If there was a problem I would think that Caribou should have stepped in and taken action to prevent this. If you want to refinance your car, they're fine but don't deal with their insurance side.

Entire process was quick and painless. I spoke to Bruno I think on a Thursday and by the following Tuesday I was signing a new contract. Saved me thousands over the course of my loan and even lowered my monthly payment substantially as well. Definitely recommend!

Daniel was quick to respond to my request to refi my auto loan. He was personable, but also respectful of my time which is very important to me. There was no redundancy in information requested to be provided, very thorough in ensuring my application information was in support of the terms I expected to close the deal. Just refinanced my loan on my car! Daniel Schoonmaker with Caribou made the process so easy for me. Anyone looking to refinance in the future check into Caribou not only was the process fast and easy but the people are so friendly. Daniel got me a cheaper payment and my interest rate is better than my old loan!

This had to be the worst refinancing experience possible. The process was almost painful and the result was worse. I was lied to. Caribou’s $399 fee, adding GAP, and a “Cosmetic Package” were never discussed with me prior to the refinance. I agreed to the GAP and cosmetic package at an extra $41/month. Upon receiving one, just one piece of paper regarding my loan with my new lender, I had seen that total of the refinance (at a 7% less APR than my previous lender) was $2053 MORE than my higher APR lender. Basically, my automobile was put in a negative equity state. Valued at approximately $17,200 while having a previous Payoff amount of $15,288….you do the math when the total of my new loan was $17,341 on, once again, 1 piece of paper from my new lender. As for anything sent in the mail from Caribou….nothing. As for ALL these other options I was presented with, I thought that the GAP and Cosmetic Package would just increase my monthly payment, just tacked on as a separate fee…NOT increase the Payoff amount of my vehicle. This refinance basically erased $2000 In payments to my previous lender. What if I decided to trade it in for a new vehicle? It equates to that new vehicle $2K more with negative equity. I also have 2 vehicles on my insurance plan with one vehicle paid off months ago. $0 balance for months. All of the sudden, that vehicle is shown financed by the new lender. I texted all of the above to my Caribou agent to get an answer. I had to text since once the refinance was complete and all of this was brought to my attention on 1 piece of paper, the agent and nobody answered my phone calls. They knew what they did to me. So they went silent. I highly suggest NOT using Caribou for a refinance option on your vehicle.

The service I received was detailed, thorough, fast and very easy. The process was automated but yet I worked with and spoke to an actual person, (Dustin C.) that assisted with my loan application. Dustin was great. He was able to answer my questions, was prompt in sening me emails that I needed. He made tge process much smoother than the last time I refinanced. Caribou was able to get me a great interest rate (approximately 50% lower than what I began with). I would definitely use their services again. THANKS CARIBOU and Dustin C.!

Wanted to refinance my vehicle and filled out an application online. Loan officer Arthur Scott, with caribou, immediately responded to my application and assisted with the refi process. I was able to get a lower APR and payment within my budget. He did all the heavy lifting, and made this process a breeze. He is very knowledgeable, and helpful is an understatement.
