As a first time homebuyer, my experience with Cardinal was wonderful. I was referred to John Scuotto due to his knowledge and expertise. He did an outstanding job helping me through the entire loan process from the start to the end. There were many documents that I had to provide and sign, and John was always on top of it making sure everything was good and submitted on time. He took his time to answer all my questions professionally and always responded to my texts, calls, emails in a timely manner. Thank you John for making the process smooth and easy for me! If there was a way to give negative score, I would have done it. Cardinal and it's loan officer Erik Levy LEFT ME COMPLETEY IN THE DARK IN THE MIDDLE OF MY MORTGAGE APPLICATION even though my application is crystal clean and powerful! Erik promised me a great rate and we got the application going at end of October'20 and we were supposed to close on Dec 1'20. I submitted everything to them on-time and my application went into underwriting on 11/16/2020. After that, everyone seems to have VANISHED! No response whatsoever from Erik or his assistants or his title officers! No response to emails! No response to voicemails! No response to Texts except occasional "I will call you back" but no call back!! NO UPDATES ON THE APPLICATION! The application is STILL "IN UNDERWRITING" from 4 weeks!! I am already PAST DUE THE CLOSING DATE AND MY LOCK EXPIRES IN A DAY! But NO RESPONSE WHATSOEVER FROM ANY OF THEM! They LEFT me completely in the DARK! I am completely dumbfounded by the lack of professionalism! They were eager to get me to lock the rate but then it has been downhill and now I have LOST THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS IN HIGHER INTEREST with my current mortgage and 45 DAYS! Not to mention sleepless nights and mental stress that they have caused. My application is still pending! Is this how you do business? If you promised me a great offer but you cannot fulfill it, just say that you took a bigger bite than what you could chew. But don't leave your customers in the dark! It is absolutely the worst possible thing you can do! Just respond on a phone call or email that you cannot make the great deal you promised! I am stuck here from 45 days waiting and loosing money every single day! Come on! Have some decency of customer service!

If there was a way to put a negative star I would. This company is a joke. I financed my house with them when I first bought it in 2018 and had a bad experience then but now 2020 I refinanced and you would think they would work harder to make it better because they knew I had a bad experience before but no. They continued to ask me for things that they already had or I already gave them. Thank god the title company and I did most of the work because I think we would still be in the process. Also charged me to extend the loan without telling me then I asked to credit my account because of charging me during the lovely pandemic and they said we can’t do that we will credit half. Honestly I was so frustrated I ended up paying the half just so I could close on the loan. Once I’m able to refinance again, it will DEFINITELY NOT BE THIS COMPANY I USE!
