Capital One Bank Reviews

BEWARE OF ONLINE BANKING, I WARN YOU! DON'T PICK THIS BANK! Trying to add a spouse to my account should be easy right? Not here. My disabled and ill husband came in for "verification" and was sent away until I "was available to come in with him to get him added”. So as soon as possible, we head to the bank with our 2 year old, which isn't easy for us, him especially. This time we get a different excuse on why they can't do their jobs. She says "it's all done online on the app". We were sent away to complete it online which unsurprisingly didn't even work. Now after calling customer service, we were instructed to go BACK to this nightmare bank for yet another "verification" that they stated verbatim "should have been done during your initial bank visit, I'm not sure why they didn't”! Hire tellers with a more developed hippocampus, please. I record my calls too, Capital One and can prove your employees have an extreme lack of efficiency. Shame on you Capital One for thinking you can handle being an ONLINE BANK, they can't even do it in person, it feels a DMV. No respect for the clients and tellers act annoyed by just doing their job.

The lady here is rude as hell. I realize it's close to closing but you can have the courtesy to let people know that instead of locking the door and ignoring someone you can clearly see. Plus this branch is always just randomly closed for no reason.

Honestly if the ATM’s would work I would have no problem with this location. But as of right now, both inside and outside machines have eaten my deposits and it’s a 45 day process to get them back. Capital One do better please. This is beyond frustrating.
Thanks for tagging us in on this. We've been sure to get your feedback into the right hands.^AS

I went out of the way to this location because all of the permanent and temporary closures. After calling their location, which had a recording stating they were open, only to find that they were closed and both ATMs would not accept any form of deposit. It was one of the worst capital one experiences I’ve ever had. If the company is going to limit so many branches and in person services then the ATM need to be fully operational and the hours need to be updated in real time.
Definitely get the frustration here. You can rest assured that we've doc'd this review as feedback for our branch leadership. ^AJS

Online savings is a joke. Transfers take 7-10 business days at a bare minimum. The branch lobby was closed so the only service was drive though which was 8 cars deep. If you have half a day to waste, don’t care if you can access your money easily or not, and lots of patience, by all means ….use this bank!

Horrible service. Do not go here unless you have a lot of time to waste or you want to test your patience or anger management skills. I went in over lunch to get a Cashiers Check and I was second in line, the next one up. It took 15 minutes for the person in front of me to get a cash withdrawal. From what I could see it looked like a large one but it still shouldn’t have taken that long. Then it was my turn up to get my Cashiers Check. After showing all my identifications and filling out all the forms, it still took me 20 minutes to get the check. The person helping me had to keep getting assistance/approval/overrides to do anything. I am not sure if they were new or not but they definitely do not need to be left alone. The problem is there was only 1 other person there to help out and assist and it was neither of their priority to move faster than a snails pace. So to summarize, way understaffed and in no hurry to be of much assistance. I will drive out of my way to a further location next time I need to go in to bank.

Worst banking experience in years. It's sad what mediocrity financial institutions use to mitigate reasonable expectations. I suppose if you want a bank who will use your money and keep it for months without giving access then use this branch. Do so at your own risk of wasting time and resources on an institution that devalues people and has no interest in personal banking. I'll take my business elsewhere. I'm not the only one who was closing my account today. Good riddens.

Tellers here lie to your face and treat people a certain way, especially if your skin is a certain color. I'll invest elsewhere, discrimination isn't my thing.

I recently purchased a small business, and needed a business checking account. Despite being the sole share holder of an established corporation, there were no major banks that I tried, that were willing to open my account. This includes two banks that I already held personal accounts with, and one bank, where my family members have stored nearly six figures for decades! They all treated me as if I were gum on the bottom of their shoe. Only Capitol One made me feel proud of my achievement. They were eager to welcome me aboard with no hesitation. I thought I'd just deal with the hassle of living 20 miles from the only branch in the metroplex. Turns out, it's no hassle at all really, I deposit checks on my phone and funds are available the next day. Thanks Capitol One! You stand as the only shining star in my book. I wrote this review to show my appreciation, and to say that I won't soon forget it. I've driven to the branch a few times when I needed to withdraw more than an ATM allows, and I experienced nothing but tremendous kindness of the type you would expect to see here in Texas. I'm all about hating on some banks and their methods. But so far, this is not one of them.
