Horrible customer service. Most staff are very dry and rude. Maybe because they're always busy and short staffed. Expect long wait times.

    Response from the owner

Hey there, Kailey—This obviously isn't the experience we're going for here, and we've shared your feedback with branch leadership to ensure it's reviewed. ^VS

My name is William Leonard and I have been a customer since the early Eighty’s, initially with Chevy Chase and then Capital One when Chevy Chase was bought out. I've watched branches disappear and services and interest rate vanish as well. most recently a decision was made to no longer allow re-imbursement for up to 3 ATM transactions at non-Capital One banks. Recently I was in North Carolina where I have a second home and needed to use an ATM. I searched Capital One’s website for ATMs and several free AllPoint ATMs were listed. All of these, however were inside with often large numbers of people, a convenience store, gas station, grocery store or large Pharmacy where I would be taking a chance getting covid, I don’t go into grocery stores or eat inside at restaurants right now due to covid and I’ve noticed many people in this area are not wearing masks, especially in places like gas stations and convenience stores. I decided to use an ATM at a different bank to be safe and was charged $3. I called Capital One customer service and was told there was nothing that could be done to reverse that charge. I asked to speak to a manager and got the same response. I told the manager that I had been customer for over thirty years and had a large sum of money in accounts at Capital One. I was told there was nothing he could do to reverse the $3 charge. This evening I transferred the bulk of my deposits with Capital One (250,000 the maximum transfer) to another bank where I feel more valued and will be transferring the rest of my deposits, changing my direct deposits (3), cashing in my CDs and closing my accounts with this bank. Do your self a favor and find a bank that values it's customers.

After hitting “snags” in their online system for a simple procedure, was forced to visit a local branch. After waiting in a line 13 people deep ( Bc there was no longer a sign in) we were told to sit down and wait again Bc they had to attend to the rest of the line first . Then we waited again on the couch as another 15 ppl were waited on in line and are actually still waiting. Please pray for us that we don’t die and turn to dust on this couch….

The staff was not friendly at all and even though I’ve been banking with them for over a decade they made me feel like a criminal for making a DEPOSIT. I am considering leaving Capital One after this experience. I am so very disappointed as I’ve been with them for so long. The teller I worked with had an awful disposition.

    Response from the owner

This is never what we like to hear and can definitely understand your frustration in this situation. We'd hate to see you go, so we've doc'd this post as feedback to ensure it's seen by the right eyes.^AS

I cannot rave enough about the service I have received here. Both the branch manager and RB have gone out of their way for me more than once, and every time I stop in, multiple people stop to ask if I'm okay or I'd like coffee or tea while I'm waiting. Coming from Bank of America - which I despise - this was SUCH a breath of fresh air!

This has to be the worst bank on the face of the planet. No such thing as customer service! Employees are very arrogant and have no shame with their lack of customer service. I asked for a manager and I'm told no manager on duty. I know they're trying to eliminate banking and want to have everything done on-line but in the meantime provide some decent customer service. Not wasting my time with C. One any longer! It's no wonder why many people say they're on there way out!!!!

This bank truly lacks customer service. I have been sitting in the drive thru for 20 mins because they lack staff. ABSOLUTELY REDICULIOUS. Sad part is I called into them and they said they do not have a designated person to be on the drive thru....WHAT THATS INSANE. Changing banks soon

The teller Maranda was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. She was able to fix my account very quickly and she went out of her way to help me. Thank you very much for your help. Capital one has always been very good to me, I've been a customer for a very long time.

    Response from the owner

Here's to many more years—glad Maranda was able to take good care of ya. :-) ^MS

First Bank I've ever been to every time I come I have to sit 30 minutes in the Drive-Thru line with only one car in front of me every single time completely ridiculous.

This was our first visit to a Capital One branch and we were very satisfied. The tellers were very friendly, attentive, and efficient.
