Canandaigua National Bank & Trust State St, Pittsford

The Pittsford CNB branch is the best bank I have EVER used! I credit this mostly to the Manager, Harry. He always goes way out of his way to make everything easy and never a problem. Thank you Harry!

Anyone who is considering buying a home and is looking for a Lender. This is the place to go. I had the most amazing experience and the person who helped me with getting approved was Tanya Dubay. Tanya went above and beyond to answer my questions and help me get the Dream Grant. She was so easy to talk to and made me feel like I was speaking to a friend. I tell everyone I know what an awesome experience I had. After the great customer care I was given, the least I can do is give her and CNB Bank the glowing review that they deserve. Highly recommend you give her a call, you won’t be disappointed in her customer service and friendly personality.

I love CNB and bank there for business and personal but the Pittsford branch is falling way behind in service

This bank loses your payment checks then tries to charge you late fees. You make countless phone calls to your financial institution only to find out the Canandaigua national Bank did receive your check. Still Canandaigua national bank tells you they cannot find it and after you inform them that you are canceling the check to have a new one reissued they then miraculously find your check and try to cash it and when it comes up a canceled check they try to charge you a return fee. On top of that when you have paid off a loan account they will re-open the account without your knowledge saying that you owe them additional monies after the accounts been paid off and without telling you will wait over 30 days to then charge you late fees and hit your credit report. The executive office does nothing. I have entered complaints with the federal reserve and the state attorney general against this bank.

I closed an account and the teller closed the account without including the interest for that month. 3 months later I get a call that I have an outstanding balance of a few dollars and that they are going to report it to the credit agencies if I don't pay it. I went to the branch that I had worked with for 12 years and explained the situation and asked that any charges since the account closing be removed since I did not know about the interest only balance...the bank manager admitted that the mistake was with the teller who closed the account...yet she still emphatically said no to removing fees since then and dismissed me without any reason or discussion. Mind you, I had no access to the account online since it was officially closed. I tried calling their customer service line and got a similar curt, rude response with the rep. telling me that the manager had made the decision and there was nothing they could do and that they didn't want to discuss it anymore. All this over a few bucks that they should never have charged me if they had simply done their jobs correctly when they closed the account. They have changed in the last year or so from a nice, local bank, to one of the worst customer service banks out there. I cannot in good conscious recommend them any longer and would instead suggest going elsewhere.

Great bank to deal with. While the people I dealt with could be gone when I was there, the banking practices were fair and good.
