CCU is amazing. On the day I was supposed to sign my lease, fraud was committed on my account so I didn't have enough for my security deposit. Their employees were on top of it. They helped me file a dispute claim and Milton even called the banks main office to expedite the claim. They also got me a new debit card to secure my information. Because the claim was filed, they even worked with me and printed me the certified check I needed to get my apartment! They were so helpful, sympathetic, and understanding to my situation. Milton will always be the person I go to with banking needs or questions. CCU really took care of me and they've won a loyal customer.

My fiancé decided to start banking here, as it was close by, and I mean within blocks, of our home. She had run into some stolen identity problems, and after watching how the bank handled that and how they were able to acommodate her multiple times over again, this place quickly became a no brainer when I was shopping around for a new bank. I hadn't had an official bank account in years. I messed up my credit and my reputation with banks in my teens. So I was hesitant to go in and even bother applying due to past experience of rejections. I'm so glad I did though. Within 3 minutes after walking in i was sat down at a desk with a banker. My information taken and was handed a deposit receipt, a $10 referal bonus and my own chipped debit card allowing me to deposit my paycheques into my newly opened account. It was painless. The banker was fantastic, upbeat, personable and super easy to work with. The whole process took only about 25-30 minutes and I was back on my way to finishing the rest of the stops for the day. I can't reccomend CCU enough. Especially if you're like me and wanted a no BS and forgiving bank. All I have to say is that I wish they had 23/7 phone support, but for a smaller union, I understand why they don't. Thanks!

1989 LAUSD Elementary teacher contract signed & days afterward joined TEACHERS' CREDIT UNION - original name of CCU. Used to be only local public school teachers and other credentialed personnel. We were treated with reverence, respect & appreciation. Stayed with the company through March 2017, when they abruptly closed my 28 year long account at this NoHo branch, on my 55th birthday. Consequently it took over six weeks for both my CA-STRS retirement monthly check, and my child support bi-weekly checks, both monies on direct deposit, to have funds available through my new financial institution. Daren "Derwood" at NoHo is a total Biotch, and I had told him, "Shove it up ur A$$ Derwood... I know you'll really enjoy that!" No doubt that's the reason for closing my account. Btw youngsters- always so typical.... Florists, hairdressers, interior decorators, school teachers and bank clerks... they are the typical work choices for frustrated gals like Derwood

Been a member of the California credit union since 2019, they always provide exceptional service with quick answers. Today I spoke with Alicia about applying for a auto refinance and credit card, and she was able to provide me with all the answers information I needed to get that moving forward. She made applying for their credit card super simple and hassle free and I was able to accommodate all of my needs without making me feel silly for asking a bunch of silly questions. 10 of 10 would recommend. The worst customer service in the world! I walked in with the intention of opening a new business account. The banker was unpleasant, and that's an understatement! She gave me an attitude and was irritated with me wanting to know information about the bank. I wish i knew her name, but she didn't even introduce herself! STAY AWAY, there are way better banks. (try Premier Of America in Burbank, very nice people and no fees.

Art was extremely helpful and went above and beyond to explain the car loan process step by step. He was patient and kind. Marina spent hours finding me the exact car I was looking for and I didn't have to do any haggling with dealership people. I am very content.

I would give them a zero star if i could. I used to use them all of the time to get quarters because they are located right near my apartment, until one day their security guard went off the deep end and started straight up harassing me for parking in the parking lot even though i was going to use the bank. The manager there then defended her and did not even say sorry for the way i was treated and then banned me from the bank for voicing my complaint. Is that how you guys handle customer complaints? Ill be speaking with the supervisor of all of the LA branches and hopefully those terrible people will be gone. Upon looking at other reviews (on both google and yelp) I'm now aware that I'm not the first person this has happened to. It seems like this security guard has harassed a few others. Seems interesting that they keep her even though they have gotten several complaints about her.
