I've been an account holder at Cadence Bank for ~8 years. I haven't lived near a branch location for 3 years. During that 3 years, it has consistently been incredibly difficult to speak to someone regarding my account. Always terrible customer service. The phone just rings for several minutes and then no one answers. Or someone answers and hangs up without speaking. Seriously considering switching banks.

Cadence Bank refused to cash a Cadence check unless I paid them $5. I requested to speak to a manager and apparently there are not managers at this bank at 2:00 P.M. This policy prevents people who do not have an extra $5 laying around from getting the money that is owed to them. Do not do business with this bank.

I applied through Cadence, (Cindy Palmer) , for a mortgage loan preapproval on May 5th. In the beginning Ms. Palmer was so eager to help me out in getting the application finished. Ran my credit and everything. Once My credit was ran and it came time for her to contact me back I have heard NOTHING back from her. I have called her numerous times, left messages. texts, and even went to Cadence looking for her and no one could even find her when I came in. Time is of the essence when trying to purchase a home & she literally wasted my time. I have found another mortgage lender since then. By the way it is now May 19th and she has still yet to contact me back!

Great customer service. Had a problem a few times with some larger purchases not going through on my account, but it had something to do with fraud protection and was as easy as calling the bank and approving to get it to go through. I have my business account and personal through them.
