The most important birthday nobody knows about is when you turn 59 and 1/2. You are able, by government regulations, to roll-over a company 401K into a self-directed 401K. Broad Financial helped me establish my self-directed 401K, and I rolled over my traditional 401k when I turned 59 and 1/2 and took control. I was able to enter some non-traditional investments (silver options, bitcoin, etc.) that a traditional 401K will not offer due to liability. Thank you, Broad, for a job well done. The returns have been phenomenal.

Completely BLOWN away by their customer service. From the moment I contacted them to hear about their options regarding Self Directed IRA's, through the set up process and implementation they've been amazing. Responsive, informative and quick. I could not recommend Broad Financial more highly.

Broad Financial LLC has been my Solo401K custodian since 2013. They are always available to help with any questions and have been an excellent custodian. I have researched many other retirement plan holders like Equity Trust and other big retirement fund players. Broad Financial fees are the best in the industry and your ability to have checkbook control is paramount in agile investing practices. I could not be happier with their service and can definitely recommend them to any who may be looking to take control of their retirement.

Broad Financial and Madison Trust have been incredible to work with and it's very easy to set up, fund and use my checkbook IRA to buy property! I bought my first fix and flip in June and have been writing checks from my LLC to pay contractors directly! Very easy and I have full control. Will be selling the property shortly and looking to repeat! Highly recommend this company if you're looking to self direct your IRA to buy real estate!

Setting up a Solo 401K plan is not trivial. But Broad Financial made it easy from the first interaction. I've been with them for about 18 months and their service is exceptional. All questions I've had have been handled quickly and very professionally. Highly recommended.

So, I waited to write a review until after I finally went through the entire process of contacting Broad Financial all the way through to the point of where I was ultimately able to purchase bitcoin with IRA funds. The process was smooth and Broad Financial and Madison Trust moved things along at a good pace. One suggestion that I want to make is that if you want things done even faster, be sure to check the box and pay the extra $50:to move things even quicker (I didn’t do this, but even so the process went fairly quick). So both Broad Financial and Madison Trust are awesome to work with, and answer questions that you have along the way quickly and accurately, and I was very happy with service from both of these companies. If you are looking to invest in bitcoin (and avoid ridiculous fees competitors are charging) or just want your self directed checkbook IRA to invest in just about anything, I give them my highest recommendation. Tip: Nothing to do with Broad Financial or Madison at all, but the only part that slowed the process to a crawl was I let Madison Trust set up a Bank United bank account instead of setting one up myself locally. Of no fault of Madison, but Bank United moves v-e-r-y slowly. 10 days for bank account setup AFTER the bank has all the approved paperwork, then there is another week of back and forth with me signing documents, and I still don’t have online banking set up (waiting to sign yet some other digital doc that they aren’t sending me). So, do yourself a favor and when Madison T. asks you if you want them to set up the bank, just go set up a business account in your LLC account name yourself if you are in a hurry. Mark was very helpful when I called in, helping me to fill out a trust account at a brokerage. I also had questions about purchasing bitcoin, and if I could store it myself, pros and cons. He took the time to listen and guide me in finding the solution that worked best for my self-directed 401K. I love the independence to choose and manage my own retirement investments.

Broad Financial has been a good resource for me in handling my Solo 401k. It offers me flexibility in investing in those investment that typically are not available inside the standard retirement account that is limited to mutual funds and the stock market. These types of instruments will increase in popularity as they are a much better tool and gateway for investing and opportunity to select your investments. They are always quick to return my call and answer questions when I have them. If they don't know the answer, they find out. Many times even when the rep knows the answer they often double check. I appreciate their attention to detail and care in 'getting it right' because it affects my investments. They do a great job.
