Bristol County Savings Bank Broadway, Taunton

The Rehoboth branch is not customer friendly. Every month I cash a check that is from Bristol county savings bank. Same account holder, and my same license. Twice I was told that the signature on the check did not look authentic from the person that wrote me the check, and now today they would not cash my check because my license expired last month. Well in COVID the registry has extended license renewals out 6 mos, and that gives me until December to renew. I called the registry and they said the bank should have cashed the check because they were all notified! Instead the teller told me to renew on line, I told her I can’t because I need a new picture.. none of her business I might add...so my License expired last month, four days before I cashed last months check so I asked why did she cash it last month, her reply was because it was only expired for a week... so let me get this straight, you do take expired license but you choose who’s and when to take them! I choose to cash personal checks at the bank they are drawn on so I don’t have the head ache of overdraft charges if I deposit the check and it does not clear..so after talking to the attorney generals office today, I was clearly discriminated because I choose not to open an account at your bank. That is in these times un acceptable . I have gone to that branch for the last 14 months and have cashed the same check, so it just makes no sense to me. In closing I would like to say that no one has extra time to run home and look for a passport, then go back to the bank and wait another 20 minutes and get harassed...it’s just extremely poor customer service, but then I’m sure you know that with the extensive training one must under go to work with the public!

Got an auto loan through BCSB, will not be doing that again. Truth be told, the larger problems only started when I decided to pay off my loan early. I called the bank to obtain the loan payoff amount and ask when I would receive my title (they said 10 days) then used the online "one time payment" feature in conjunction with my loan number to pay off the balance. I called the following day to confirm the payment went through and there was a zero balance, it was confirmed. Two weeks go by and no title, I call and they say its going to be sent out. I call a few days later looking for an update and was told my title was never sent because it "fell through the cracks" and was not picked up by their system because I used the one time payment feature to pay off the loan. I request an overnight shipment and they agree to it. Three days later no title, I call back and they said they weren't sure if they remembered to send it overnight, I'm still wondering if they sent it at all because I do not have my title and we're coming up on 4 weeks. All throughout this process I requested someone to call me back when they figured out the status and not once was a call returned. There are many places to obtain loans, do yourself a favor and steer clear of BCSB.

Had this bank since i was in high school and they never let me down.

If you want to get approved for a mortgage that the bank knows isn't possible, and then have the bank deny you because of THEIR mistake, bank with these people. They’re TERRIBLE!

They have excellent service here at the main branch. They've been my bank for 30 years.

Beware of this bank! They do not keep your money secure as promised. Their fraud department failed to notify me of suspisous activity on my account that resulted in a loss of almost 4000.00. There is definitely a false sense of security at Bristol County Savings Bank. Many other banks would have prevented this from happening.

Been at this bank since i had my account first opened when i was 12. Im now 25. So yeah they're a good bank. :]

Bristol County Savings Bank is full of nice and respectful people. Everyone is very helpful and I absolutely love this bank!
