BMO Harris Bank W Washington St, Chicago

After my identity was stolen, someone cleaned out my bank accounts and opened credit cards in my name. This branch was extremely helpful in walking me through the fraud department's processes, filling out all paperwork for me, and creating new accounts so the thieves couldn't access anything in the future. This was one of the most helpful companies I had to deal with during this extremely stressful time.

This branch has glass walls and glass door after enter through the revolving door. Whoever decided to install the glass walls and glass door didn't think things through. It is confusing to find the glass door.

Big banks suck and this is no exception. I went here today to close out my recently deceased mothers account. I had all the necessary documents but according to them theres some technical error (they wont tell me what it is) and they refuse to release the money. This is despite the fact I took the same documents to their downtown branch a few days ago and they said they were fine. Stick with local community banks.

Not particular to this bank but bmo only allows a car loan payment and then you can’t submit another payment within 2 weeks.Why? I should be able to pay on it when I want to. It causes people to say forget it and end up spending it, or have to be on the phone forever with customer service, and/or ultimately cause people to lose their cars. A shady policy that needs to change and that impacts millions of customers.

This branch is complete trash, wouldn’t waste my time even going to the branch they don’t care about you or getting what you need done. They just want their pay and to throw you out of their as soon as possible. I spoke with the branch manger prior to talking to customer service and them setting up an appointment for me online me, thus when I arrived he wasn’t doing anything an came to talk to me saying he wasn’t going to meet with me because I wasn’t worthy or didn’t look like a good enough character to speak with preferably because of my color. If you want a nice customer service bank I’d go with fifth third or chase definitely changing banks after this incident.

Was just here, staff was friendly and welcoming, greeting every customer as they entered. Unfortunately, I waited 30 minutes for service from a banker and had to leave without getting service to return to work. I wish they had just told me they didn’t have time for me to see someone rather than me wait 30 minutes for no reason and not leave with what I needed.

Waste my time and, add one hard inquiry on my credit score without reason.
