Blue Eagle Credit Union Electric Rd, Roanoke

My husband and I have been banking with Blue Eagle for years. We moved out of state and still kept them as our bank. We asked for a debt consolidation loan and was denied trying to pay off a personal loan and a credit card. This is all the debt we have. We have done multiple Eagle Express Loans with them to build up our credit with them and we're still denied. They were basing things on old debt on my husband's credit when he became fully disabled. Nothing recent! Everything has been paid on time. Also stated that are credit card was too high a balance the only one we have, which is why we were asking for debt consolidation loan. The whole point of being a credit union member is to have benefits to help the customer all we wanted to do was lower interest rates to get a lower payment during these hard times. They did offer us another Eagle Express loan to build credit with them weird because we have had multiple and paid off but not good enough to qualify for a debt consolidation loan which is weirder because our payment history with those accounts are current in good standing. Try to find a credit union who cares for their customers because Blue Eagle Credit Union sure does not!

I had a very polite and professional experience with Loan officer, Spencer Hurst. He listen very patiently to may concern and financial need. Mr. Hurst helped me pay. off my loan that had a very high interest rate, help me pay off my car repairs and still managed to give me an affordable monthly payment for my loan. My experience with Blue Eagle Credit Union has been phenomenal. I have been with Blue Eagle Credit Union for quite some time now but never had a Car Loan through Blue Eagle and I must say that I feel like I have been missing out. Blue Eagle's Rep Ms. Kaila has been amazing from start to finish exemplifying a true talent for customer service, knowledge, attention to detail and work ethic. I have been a Blue Eagle Credit Union for over 35 years. I used to think they were the greatest but the past few years it has turned into a business and not a service. I wait over a week for a return phone call. I am unable to get into my online account after calling for a reset. I pay over a $1000 in interest on my loans every month but am penalized $10 per month for not utilizing draft services. I have never been more disappointed in a financial institution with it's lack of interest in the customers who made it what it is today.

This is the absolute BEST BANK I have ever had to pleasure to do businedd with. I have banked at a few large banks before. I thought I liked the fact that I could find branches at ATMs everywhere. Well, after moving all of my financial needs, including vehicle loan and checking, to Blue Eagle, I will never bank anywhere else. I can always find a real person to talk to if I have an issue and there are still very convenient ways to get cash from my account.

Repeatedly charged overdraft fees, left messages in the app, the responding person would always say they could only remove one of the fees, finally when it was explained to me I could remove the overdraft that would deny charges causing me to be in the negative, they were suddenly “unable” to remove any of the charges that occurred in that particular instance. The idea of joining a credit union was to avoid the money grab “overdraft fees” that banks prey on customers with, unfortunately my experience has been just as bad if not worse. Work hard just to have your money go into their pockets.

I was looking to get an auto loan and the first place I went to was a disaster. I called Blue Eagle and spoke with Sam. He was very helpful and worked with me every step of the way with no hassle and everything was easy from beginning to end. I will definitely recommend Blue Eagle Credit Union to anyone.
