First of all, the staff at the San Rafael store gets an ELEVEN! I buy guitars, amps, camera equipment and jewelry here OFTEN, and I always get treated with respect, happiness, and humor. I get great deals and they are almost always willing to negotiate a great price. They’re layaway plan is outstanding. The very best people and that’s why I keep coming back.

Having a new addition to my family and working a new job it became a little difficult to keep up with my bills so as a last resort I came to best collateral. Don't come here if you plan on pawning our selling jewelry. I brought in a ring to pawn, as I was strapped for cash. I had this particular ring appraised a month ago, stating the karat of gold used in writing. The person behind the counter "tested" it, and said it was gold plated. Funny thing is there were no marks on the ring where it should have as it was "supposedly" tested. I referred back to the company that appraised my ring, and they confirmed that it was in fact what it was appraised as. Cheap shot, incompetent staff.

Bought a stolen accordion from a co worker of mine i had bring it there to get appraised since i had no car. I said call me when you get offer. But Do not sell!!! In short he never called they gave him only 80$ because he claims they said it was hot. A 425$ accordion i have dated proof and pictures of ownership. And the guy is hiding from me. Yet he frequents this location often. When i explained to the the manager, she immediately became agigitated and walked around corner, to get right in my face to defend her sleazy 1960s pawn shop tactics. She wants money...clean or dirty. In this case she defended the thief and sadly i lost A family accordion i played with since i was 2. Im now 27. Im disgusted by her decision, and her professionalism and morals are simply non existent. Better pawn shops on 4th street. Avoid anyone who buys from thieves and bad energy fills that store you can feel it, it was phenomenal. May ne worth a stop in, have sage equipped. Bad vibes in a pawn business. What a cliche

After falling on hard times (and a change of lifestyle) I pawned some valuable jewelry to a different business. BC acquired the inventory of the other business. The Manager/owner? of Best Collateral is incredible, Really!! I thought for sure that I had lost some items since I had become seriously past due. Any other place would have sold my items. She is AMAZING!!

This is just a 1st Class Business - nice people, very professional, totally honest, incredibly helpful - they go out of their way to give you what you want .. as long as they can.

My bicycle was stolen I found it at Best Collateral I brought the receipt in from them for when I bought it and they sold it supposedly the next day I also told them that I had pointed to them once before so they even had my name on record that I was the owner but they still went and sold it so they say out from underneath me
