I moved to Louisville and needed to sell my Lexington home. I chose Amy Bell Witt as my real estate agent because of her experience in interior design, her work ethic in researching neighborhoods, houses, pricing, and trends, and her positive energy and drive. Amy gave knowledgeable suggestions about what improvements might help the house sell but was always open to what I as the client preferred. I wanted to sell my home as-is, and she knew just how to handle that. Amy was dedicated to making my experience be smooth: she explained each step clearly and kept the whole process organized and efficient. She is backed by an experienced and responsive team who provided helpful suggestions and solid guidance throughout the process which made me feel comfortable. We had the pleasure of working with Amy Bell Witt when we recently purchased a home. She represented the seller but I have to say, I feel like she did just as much for us as the buyers. It was a little intimidating not having our own realtor to represent us, but from the start Amy treated us with kindness and respect as if we were her own clients and put us at ease immediately. Consumer beware. Had a horrible experience with this RE group. My realtor was a buyer's agent assigned by my company as part of a relocation package. My realtor did not effectively represent, support, or have my back through the transaction. I am no stranger to RE transactions but had never encountered the issues and lack of service I received from this group. Even when I escalated the issues to the President and Broker Owner, still not a single leader addressed my concerns or even offered the basic courtesy of an acknowledgement when I spent the time and effort begging for assistance about the transaction their agency was managing and earning commissions from. A few issues were encountered through the process, but everything went completely south the day before the closing. The seller's caused the issues, however it would have been nice, and customary in my experience, that a client would receive better service and support from a professional managing a RE transaction. The seller's removed many permanently attached items from the home leaving significant damage to the home, even though the RE contract clearly states everything attached conveys with the property. I jumped through hoops for months meeting every request and demand from both my agent and the seller's agent (documenting my requests over and over, providing photos, obtaining and providing repair estimates), with absolutely no attempt on their part to help with a remedy or resolution. The best I received was the statement "we all agree it was wrong...." The only advice I received by my agent was that I should seek legal counsel. I found it extremely disappointing as a professional service provider, who is required to abide by standards and ethics, that no actionable guidance or support was offered for my circumstances and concerns. In the past I have had agents that fought and stood up for me and did everything in their power to ensure my best interest was protected. If you are seeking the same, you best look elsewhere for your RE professional.

Recently, I have had the opportunity to list an investment property, with Barb Ford and Laura Eaves, of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices. This is the third Real Estate transaction that they have successfully closed for us, within approximately three years. They aggressively marketed our investment property for sale and successfully brought a buyer to the closing table. They had carefully assisted in the negotiation of the selling price, scheduled and carried out inspections and compiled information necessary for closing documents. They were diligent throughout the entire Real Estate selling process. This recent transaction was handled with care, just as our previous transactions were carried out. Holly Brady is an absolute rockstar. We contacted Holly on a Sunday and she just so happened to live down the street. She offered to meet us right then. My wife and i were first time home buyers and knew nothing! We had a baby coming in just a few short months and we didn’t think finding a house on such short notice was realistic. Worked with an agent named Sharon for our first time home buying experience. I could not have asked for a better experience from a real estate agent. At no point in the process did we feel like we were being pushed into buying anything or lied to. Her advise and help was honest, and she worked very responsively and diligently to get things done and set up house showing in a very timely manner. If I ever move again in town, I will seek her out for help again.

We hired Amy based on friends' recommendations on very short notice as we were travelling abroad 2 days after seeing the property for the first time. Amy did a great job adopting to our "special needs" and guided us successfully through the whole process from making an offer to the final closing despite all the problems that arose with us not being physically present for 4 weeks. We were looking for a house in a hurry. Kim Morris was a family friend, so we knew we could trust her to act in our best interests. She found a couple of houses in our price range and was able to get us appointments to look. One house in particular appealed to me and Kim got us an immediate appointment to walk through it and carried out the negotiations. The seller and I agreed on a price in less than 24 hours. It closed 4 days later. Kim is very knowledgeable and friendly and quick to respond to any and all questions that came up I would definitely recommend her to friends and family.

I have known Suzanne Elliott for years and knew what an incredibly ethical and kind person she is, but I had no idea the depths of patience and tolerance she held until she helped me sell my duplex that I had owned since the 1980's.
