Berkshire Bank Pittsfield

I was fortunate enough to be supported by Teresa Lussier at the Pittsfield branch recently, and I can't say enough good things about her empathy and ability to trouble-shoot. This was a woman where "solving-my-problems" was more important than doing the easy thing because of bank rules. May we all find more Terry Lussier's in our life when we need help.

Worst bank around ! Say everything is free but add fees for everything! All done with their games

I found out recently my escrow increased;I'm used to this but it seemed like a big increase. Because of this, I called customer service.I talked to a lady who explained how the escrow works and options on how to pay it.Long story short I said this is why people end up having a lot of trouble making mortgage payment after a while.She finally said "if we can't have an intelligent conversation we may as well end this conversation."(Or something to that effect.) I was EXTREMELY upset that she would insult my intelligence like this.I did get a call a couple of days later from a rep. saying they were very sorry it won't happen again.But the damage was already done.I will NEVER call this service for anything again. Most exciting bank? Don't think so. Plus the bank has grown so big and swallowed up other banks that they don't give a dam anymore about the local customer! If I could give it less than a 1 star rating,I would.

Worst bank I know of they have a book of extra charges they will charge you for having a account there.
