    We've banked with Baxter Employee Credit Union, now BCU, since it opened in Lake Cook II, Deerfield, IL. We have been very happy with BCU over the years. Most transactions can be done online. The few times we needed personal assistance, we got it. Phone access to live personnel is definitely more limited now but that's true of most companies , especially since Covid began. We have not used BCU loans or credit cards so no opinion on those services.

    This credit union loses on all ends with customer experience. They rely HEAVILY on automated systems. Their 'Deposit Anywhere' feature is a joke and their Fraud Department is remedial and extremely primitive to human behavior. Unlike a real bank where you can talk to senior leaders directly there is no one you can share your frustrations with and actually be heard! An incident happened today where I spent 2-3 hrs trying to rectify a deposit transaction on my account. A member relations representative instructed I tape up a check that had been torn up to pieces after it had uploaded to Deposit Anywhere and was DELETED BY THE SYSTEM! If you don't want problems with your money then DON'T bank here. They'll always make up an excuse instead of fixing what's wrong! Can't believe I listened to that rep only to find out the bank STILL won't cash the check and the issuer will not provide a rewrite. This place deserves (negative) 5 stars.

    They cannot even certify the signatures of their own customers.. I was just asking them to stamp a document in French I was signing in front of them to certify the signature vs. my ID card. Not asking to certify the doc itself, just the signature. After 7 years it’s time to look for another banking company.. Q if service is going to the drain

    Do not take their credit card. Very bad user experience. There app is very basic and does not handle basic features like automatics payments very well. Recently they deducted huge amount of money as part of auto payment even though the current balance was 0. I’ll stop using the credit card with immediate effect and cancel it as soon as I get time.

    It’s very difficult for me to express how I feel about BCU. I have never had a place that I’ve banked with take such good care of me. They have gone the extra mile every time I have interacted with them. I like to believe that I have experience most every department within BCU as I have my savings, checking, credit card, a person loan, and auto loan. They have over the years made me feel like family and not just a number. If you’re looking for the best place to bank with I highly recommend BCU!

    BCU has again has done an excellent job! We have been members for many years. Have my 4th auto loan with them. The process is so smooth & seamless. Kudos to Eric M. in the consumer loan department. Customer service is a 10+. Great customer service!

    I took out an auto loan w/BCU & paid it off in full in less than a year. It's reported on my credit report as closed instead of paid in full and as agreed. It also shows "no data" for the months of July, October, & November 2021. I put in a dispute with BCU today, but this needs to be corrected immediately as it's negatively impacted my credit report & score. This is apparently an ongoing issue with BCU. I would have never taken out any loans with them if this is how they handle business. This is very unprofessional and inconvenient for my home buying process. I was told it could take up to 30 days and it's not guaranteed that it'll get corrected. That is completely unacceptable. It needs to be corrected immediately. Stephene Jenkins

    I am filing this complaint against Baxter Credit Union (hereinafter referred to as BCU), because I have been more than patient with them. My wife & I refinanced our vehicles through BCU..Even though the vehicle is inoperable, we paid it off, through a settlement Prior to all of this, we had been trying to get BCU to correct the title. It was refinanced in me & my wife's name. However, it still had my mother's name on the title, & the vehicle registration. BCU stated that they would change it several times, but never did. They have stated on many occasions (with several different representatives), that they would change the title, & send it to me. That was in August of 2020. At the present time, they have not sent the title, or the complete financing papers for our vehicle. They only emailed us a 1 page financing document, last year,. They also kept deflecting (& redirecting), this issue to someone else, that never returned any of our messages. Now, no one even answers the phone at all. This is so unprofessional, especially to not get back to us. We have spoken to Kevin (who has a VERY NASTY attitude), Sandra, a supervisor (who has never returned my calls), Esperanza, Roxanne, Jeff, Carla, Iris, Rick, Brian, Adolpho, Mara (who lied & stated that the title had been sent out to us on 11-13-20 - more than a year ago), & many other representatives that answered the phone, & later transferred me to (literally), nowhere. I would not recommend using BCU for ANYTHING!

    [LESS THAN ZERO] Wait on line forever, then wait some more for an auto loan payoff letter to be emailed, too many account numbers..all lead to confusion when you are trying to sell/trade current vehicle and get a transaction done. UPDATE: Not sure if a bad review helped but 10 min later I had a payoff letter in hand. :) THANKYOU!! I've upgraded the review to reflect this development to FOUR STARS.

    They’ve an excellent team that is always eager to help customers. Always impressed with their services and interactions - very vibrant team. The reason for my average rating is their digital experience which is very basic. They need to invest in and improve their app/website to provide good user eclair from and be competitive with other leading players.

    Bank is a joke, have not been receiving credit card statements in the mail, check online and they're not even there. Option for Online and Paper is checked for my credit car, called and they said its a technical issue their team is aware of and I won't get online if its checked, next supervisor stated I won't even get paper if checked so they FORCE you to check online and won't send either until you do so. Seems very trashy of a bank to do that to a customer. I see a review for this same issue 11 months ago, so they knew and won't fix... RED FLAG to STAY AWAY from this bank.

    Such a great Credit Union! We joined in 2011 in the middle of a chapter 7 bankruptcy. After it was dismissed we started with a secured credit card. Here it is nine years later and we have had five car loans, two credit cards and several unsecured loans with them all at very reasonable rates and with excellent customer service! We absolutely love BCU and they have been such an outstanding credit union with customer service that is second to none! BCU definitely “has our back”!!
