Bay Federal Credit Union River St, Santa Cruz

This is a reverse bank robbery... Bayfed blocked my credit card payment without explanation, which triggered a bounced check fee from my CC issuer. I then attempted to transfer the funds from my mickey mouse Bayfed account into a fully functional one to make the CC payment. Bayfed's system returned the vague error "Recipient could not be verified. Please contact us or try again later." Looks like I'll need to withdraw my balance in cash to get the money out? Ironically I deposited cash with Bayfed in the first place out of convenience hoping I could then use it.

A great bank, I have been with them for over 8 years. They have always been very accommodating and willing to resolve any account issues. All of the clerk are extremely nice and you can expect to see them again out in the community helping out. This is not a credit union that plays with your money, I know that no matter what happens in the economy my money will still be there. Until the dollar vanishes as a currency I will continue to use Bay Fed. They give back to the community this last holiday food drive they donated over 90,000 meals.

I would recommend avoiding this bank as thier online banking software/app has significant problems. They are aware of these issues but make no effort or are not able to fix them. I've been extremely disappointed by these glitches a couple times now, and yesterday I finally closed my account. I didn't really want to go to a bigger bank, but I'm tired of dealing with charges that are incorrect.

I think Bay Fed is great, I have my business account and personal accounts there. Last year I was in and out with a car loan in 25 minutes. I can say I tell everyone about bay fed.

Good for car loans. Low rates and handle paper work well. Only 4 stars because they bait and switched on a home refi.

Bay federal used to not nickel and dime you. Now its 5 dollar "maintenance" fees, over draft protection fees (where they charge $10 to move your money from your savings to your checking) I have direct deposit setup with my company and regardless of how much money us in my account I am still charged a monthly fee. Ill be cashing everything from now on and only putting money in when its something I absolutely cant pay with cash. Tired of the nickel and dime pony show with these banks.

I had a wonderful experience with bay fed over the 6 years I had an account with them. I never thought it was possible to have such an easy banking experience, especially after dealing with the bureaucratic train wreck that is BoA. Pretty much every issue dealt with with one phone call or branch visit, rather than a 3 week game of phone tag with robots. I didn't have the opportunity to use them, but they seem to have a lot of community relationships/resources and good rates for related loans as well. I also appreciated that they are part of the co-op network, so I could continue banking while out of state. I would recommend Bay Fed over a traditional bank to anyone living in the area.

I love Bayfed and it's all because of the team that runs the branch. I hit a little bump in the road a few months ago and Frank who manages the branch was of tremendous help. Always welcoming and always positive. I love Bayfed!!

This bank says they're a credit union, actually they're an @zzhole union Bank. They are very rude and condescending. I would never recommend Bay Federal Bank Fraud Credit Union.
