Bar Harbor Bank & Trust High St, Ellsworth

Online app is poorly made, lags out and crashes all the time, if it even decides to update properly. Doesn't even work from browser all the time. I guess getting a working app made in 2022 is too difficult? In-house service is okay, at best. Not much to say. Normal and friendly, but definitely slow and not coming off as very knowledgeable, especially in my past few interactions Overseas customer support is bad as well, as I learned when I was a student overseas. Very hard to get them to coordinate with you or transfer money in a timely manner. Just not very impressive, as far as institutions go. Shame.

Did you know if you received a check from a Bar Harbor Bank & Trust customer You, the recipient will be charged a 5 dollar check cashing FEE, if you dont have an account with them! What the heck?

I was introduced to Melanie Bowden who is a senior member in October of 2019. She encouraged me to invest in Bar Harbor Bankshares. I declined. She has been harassing and threatening me ever since.

Great bank and the only issue is the online check deposits take 3-5 days to go through.

Probably the worst bank I've encountered so far. Their online app is total garbage, sometimes not working for days due to some kind of issue with servers, a direct deposit from the app takes 3 (!!) business days. The staff in Ellsworth branch seem very disorganized (the bank was empty and it took them over an hour to make me a debit card!). They forgot to mail the second card, forgot to let my husband set his pin. Seems like someone is leeching off the fact that there aren't that many banks in the area and people just don't have any other choice. The nonsense with the app is definitely my favorite - can't check my balance for several hours today. Not recommending this bank to anyone, actively looking for a new one to switch to.

When they hire Amy Potts.its no good she was fired from her job in the only bank in Addison Maine for taking money from ones account and adding it into hers and when my family and I have been members of this bank for years and are now having troubles sense Oct when Amy Potts got hired might be going by.Amy.bright now.where she got married but played the oww I.have a baby and a dad beat daddy so.I.cant go.to.jail.and got.away with it but still everyone knows around here she stole from someone's account while working at Machias.savings bank located in Addison for.again taking money and adding it into her own account please tell me how ur background check is.really working the right way. Then when tell u guys avoutmy problems.laughing it off well.don't say if it happens again I didn't tell u about hwr and I will be try to.move my.banking elsewhere if she stays in this or bank
