I stopped in to cash a personal check made to me from this bank. Check was $150 and the bank teller said there would be an additional $10 fee to cash it. I asked why, he stated it's a service fee. I don't agree with this as the funds are from the Cherokee customer given too me. No reason for a fee. Especially 7%. Its not an inconvenience in any way. Teller was rude and stated that's just how it is. I then asked what if the check was for $5 or $10? He stated back they would decide how much the fee would be at that point. He confirmed they have no set terms for their fees, and it's not posted anywhere. Basically making up rules and fees when they want, for any amount. For this reason alone I would NOT recommend doing business with this snobby, greedy local bank.
