Bank of the West Second St, Livermore

Its a good bank but i think they need to be more friendly. Even the manager has this stern look always. One teller an east asian lady is always smiling and interacting with everyone though. So i usually prefer meeting her when i go there :) But work is done professionally so i like coming here.

I've been banking at Bank of the West in Livermore since 1986 when I first moved out here from NYC. I've always found the staff to be friendly & quite helpful. Over the years they have proven their worth on issues ranging from checking & savings to selling my house. An excellent bank.

After having a bad experience earlier, I have to thank STANLEY at this branch coz thanks to his extremely professional, really patient and helpful nature I really will want to come here again. Thanks for all your help & solving all the things that needed to be resolved. Appreciate it a lot. ============================== ONE HORRIBLE UNFRIENDLY PERSON OUT HERE Ruined it all for me. I have moved to Livermore and now go to the bank of the west on 2nd street. Been good till now. Till i met the most unfriendly banker on earth at Bank of the West. LOLLLL ... Ginnie Mccoy. I greeted her & she had this stern look and didnt respond to my hello at all. Throughout was bad at managing it all & even gave me wrong information till i corrected her & then she called another branch & got to know i, the customer was right. Then then there was some other thing where she could have helped but refused but when i called customer service they said she can help out by faxing that information. While leaving i Still said "thank you" & i swear on God, she didn't even respond like she didn't respond to my hello at the beginning. No welcome, NO NOTHING. She just started looking at her computer again. This lady is ruining the friendly faces i see at this bank :(

Bank of the West is terrible and this branch is part of the problem. In the not-far-enough-past I used to bank here, and each time I called the 800 line for information (1) I waited for 20 minutes due to "too many callers" (2) I was asked for no less than FOUR!!!!! pieces of identification each time to verify I was who I said I was. I was asked for the same identification multiple times in a single phone call when I was passed to a new agent. The amount of needed verification for a simple phone transaction was CRAZY!!!!! In addition to them driving at 20-mph on the freeway like a petrified granny, they turned me down for not one but TWO loans. They initiated one of those loans themselves!!! Thanks for dragging me in just to blow me off.... I am now banking with a much friendlier, realistic, reasonable, non-petrified-granny-like bank that treats me respectfully. And I am almost a proud homeowner. No thanks at all to Bank of the West to my better financial position in life. The petrified-granny-driver on the highway of banks: Bank of the West.

This Livermore branch used to give you personal banking, but the managment is very lacking compared to other branches of BOW. Take your money to Schwab Bank, free checking, free paper statements, no ATM charges anywhere, excellent 24 hour chat and customer service.

A staff full of prudes. cold and unfriendly. Been banking since 2015. Mortgage is almost paid off. Can't wait to kick BoW to the curb. These guys will always be the bottom of the barrel
