Bank of the West 8th St, Boone

We've been provided with wonderful, highly professional service by this bank, by phone and in person. My mother had a safe deposit box here and, after her death, we stopped in with the key to empty it. Due to an unavoidable mix-up, we ended up over-paying and, today, got a refund in the mail, along with a letter of apology, both of which we appreciated greatly. We've dealt with banks in Iowa, where we grew up, in Wisconsin, where we raised our family and worked for some 40 years, and in California, where we spend much of our time following our retirement. This bank compares favorably in every respect with all the banks we've encountered in those states.

This is a terrible bank with terrible customer service. Do yourself a favor and find a credit union or local bank. They rotate through employees every few months which in turn leads to employees who can’t help because they don’t know how. Customer service is awful!!!

Need to step up they game.

I have always appreciated being able to speak with a local person if I have questions on my account. That is no longer an option. Although I do use online banking, occasionally I have a quick question to ask. Now you have to call a national number and wait. I am currently waiting for 25 minutes. Every time I try to call I get "due to the large number of calls we are experiencing...." it doesn't matter when you call you get the same wait time. Also their office is never open for walk ins. I even have to wait in line for drive through. I am not able to access my online account and have no options to correct this issue. I have banked there for 30+ years. Might be time to look for another bank.

Hours stated 9 to 5 drive up,then get there temporarily till 4 for September, this is October change hours on website, because I always look online to make sure if even open.
