Bank of South Carolina N Main St, Summerville

TWENTY THREE YEARS OF BANKING HERE. I swear I hope it's like a pretty woman story...."Big mistake, BIG"! Last year I had to change my address and they tell me I can't keep my student account and now they will take money from me every month if I don't have a certain amount of money in their bank. I always had a good amount in there but now I'm not working and I'm sick, however I still have continuing education every 6 months to a year, and it's not cheap. So I email them asking to keep the account I had or i would have to close it. They closed it without an email back to me saying they did close it or maybe we could work something out. Nope just so disposable after 23 years. Ok. I do not recommend banking here. Also in 2007 they wouldn't give me a car loan at the lowest point in my life. I did find someone who did give me that loan and yes my car was paid off in full. What a gut punch.

We just wanted to say that we have long enjoyed being a valued customer at The Bank Of SC. Having done business with them since we opened, we have never had anything less than stellar service from everyone from the tellers to loan officers to the bank manager. If we ever have a need, we call them and it's handled. Professional, courteous and attentive to detail. What else could you ask for in a bank? We wouldn't use anyone else!

Fantastic Bank! This place has changed the way we view what banking should be. They've gone above and beyond to help us run our business. Everyone who works there has been extremely nice and helpful. They even know you by name when you walk in! We consider them part of our team and look forward to continued years of growth and prosperity.

This Bank of South Carolina branch on North Main Street in Summerville is a well managed location that makes every transaction simple and easy to get done. The bankers here are very knowledgeable and efficient at getting you the assistance that you need.

Too bad there's not an option for zero stars! I have never in my life been treated so awfully in a banking center! The teller all but called me a thief, was rude and arrogant, and in my opinion has no business whatsoever working anywhere near the public. I am a successful business woman with morals and integrity and to be publicly treated like garbage and accused of forging a check from a vendor (which was less than two thousand dollars) is unacceptable! To make matters worse the bank manager didn't even step in to defend the mortified and insulted customer but added insult to injury by asking me to step outside and wait for my money after the obnoxious teller and her "backup" attacked me at the counter and despite being asked more than once to just give me my money so I could leave the two of them continued to prolong the most humiliating experience I have ever had in my life. I will never recommend this banking institution to anyone or give it anything other than a negative review to every open ear!

I will never use or accept a payment written on this institution again! My wife and I are looking small business owners and we're written a check from a vendor on an account held there. The teller was rude and smug and embarrassed my wife to the point of tears by pretty much accusing her of having a forged check and made a scene of "verifying" the bank check.
