Put my BOA credit card into the ATM machine by mistake (instead of my BOA debit card). The ATM machine "stole" my card and would not give it back. I went into the bank to get my card back and was told that there was no way I would ever get my card back and that it was going to be destroyed, and that there was nothing they could do to help. I was told that the bank doesn't have anything to do with the ATM. It's a BOA ATM! How can the system be bank be so missed managed!!!

Bank of America has been no help to us they the Covid crisis. With good credit, and 23 years of banking with them. The banking managers constantly blame corporate. They do not care about you personally. Or any businesses they are in businesses with. They door was locked a minute or two early today. Any issues with your banking you are usually told to call the 800 number. Manager blames other states for BOA closing at 4:00....... so many of its customers work till 5. Our accounts will be switched from the too big for its own good bank to a bank that supports local people and businesses. This review won’t change anything. But hopefully it will encourage you to find a local and friendly bank!

Ive had the same credit card for over 30 years and used it for literally hundreds if thousands of dollars of transactions as it transitioned from institution to institution. 99% on time payment record, great credit history, yet BOA froze my credit card over 1 late 25.00 minumum payment which is due to well publicized post office delivery issues, ( My payment in full for the month's balance was put in mail 5 days before due date) and would not unfreeze it without immediate checking transfer.

Ridiculous to still close at 4pm on Fridays because of “covid”. People need banking access.

    Response from the owner

Useless staff, better off going anywhere else. I was left waiting for over 30 minutes just to be told that my I couldn't be seen.

Bank of America, more specifically this branch in Chapel Hill, has proven to be an integral part of my new business. From the moment I first walked into the office, I have been catered to as if they were my own personal bankers. John Sweeney has seen to all my needs and I considered him an unpaid member of my staff (and I don't have to provide him with health insurance!). I truly appreciate him. I highly recommend utilizing all the wonderful services and options this bank has to offer.

    Response from the owner

Hi Dr. Glover. Thanks for letting us know how helpful John was during your financial center visit. We appreciate you taking the time to let us know what we’re doing well. ^marty

Bank of America is horrible. They close accounts without notice and provide the poorest customer service.

Grossly incompetent staff. Took HOURS to open an account, and months later I'm still getting mail from BoA headquarters saying the account opening paperwork was incorrectly completed in this branch. Deposit your money elsewhere
