    After being a customer for almost 20 years I'm considering moving on after the horrible experience with this branch. After two weeks with no follow up call regarding a business account I wanted to set up I decided to stop on and see what the hold up was. The manager Jeffrey is rude and condescending. His solution was for me to wait more because the person who was to help me went on vacation. All he kept saying was what do you expect me to do. If they were trained and knowledgeable in business banking they would understand how a subsidiary corporations work. I provided all the requirements but they are inept and worried about getting their hands slapped so insisted legal had to be consulted.

    I'm bofa customer for years, but the experience I've had at this branch is worse than everything I've experienced before. Unprofessional clerks, unprofessional manager. Not customer oriented service. Spent 30 minutes to hear that they can't solve something, solved in 10 minutes at another branch. Leave here just ATMs, because those guys made more people to leave bofa than to open new accounts.

    This place never answers call. NEver have enough change to give. The manager does not care. This is the one place that needs to shut down. i am not sure why are thy closing elgin location.

    I tried calling this branch multiple times to see if they can help me open a Health Savings Account. After several failed attempts, I went ahead and made an appointment at the branch and specified in the appointment details that I was interested in opening up an HSA account. I made this appointment 1 week in advance. I went to my appointment and as I'm walking in my phone starts ringing. I ignored the call and went inside fo be seated for about 5 minutes to wait. Then a banker comes up to me and says "I tried calling you to save you the trip, we dont do HSAs for individuals". They called minutes before my appointment started when they had an entire week to reach out to me. Very unprofessional and a waste of my time.

    Been a BoA customer for over 20 years for personal, business, credit cards, and car loans. We moved everything to Chase now because of how horrible the customer service has become. Only 1 out of 3 locations are still open near the area and the one they decided to keep open is filled with employees who are not trained properly and leadership has been ineffective at keeping good talent. Chase has been excellent to work with in the area so far.

    Just opened an account and so far out of 15 visits about 10 were terrible experiences because we were unable to make deposits. There is not enough staff and strangely enough there is a manager on duty with no access to do any deposits or basic banking services, but the bank is open for business. Why even bother when the ATM it the only thing you can use when you go into this bank? He claims that its not in his control and that we need to complain to the head office. At this moment I've been on hold for about an hour and can't even reach customer support to make this complaint. So... I guess it's the customer's responsibility to communicate to Bank of America's cooperate office in order to have them staff accordingly otherwise if you go in there's a good chance that you won't get the service you came in for but you'll get a an excuse from the manager for why they don't have enough staff. Looks like we are going to have to find another bank. Very disappointed for them wasting our time and business.

    A bank that makes it hard to pay your mortgage? That shuts down branches when everyone else is open with plexiglass dividers for safety? I have money that I want to give to them, but I have to drive half an hour and can’t get help through their phone service! I didn’t even choose to have my mortgage through them, it was bought by them during the housing crash.

    I have never been treated like that at a bank. The disrespect of there so called manager, Billy. I will never do business at that location again and am really contemplating pulling all my accounts with Bank of America. Yep yourself and don’t set foot in this location if you can help it.
