Bank of America (with Drive-thru ATM) Reviews
A
The people who say there is no wait in their reviews clearly do not go to this location very often. I have never waited so long at a bank before than I do here. Some of the staff is very friendly, but most act like you are a problem just by being there and are extremely rude. Another issue is that you can go to 3 different tellers with the same issue and get 3 different responses. I know some of the problem is that the location is WAY too small for how many people visit, but BoA should really do something about training their employees better. I gave 2 stars because at times it seems like they are trying to improve and like I said there are a couple of employees who are very courteous.

I have banked with BOA for 15 years, and this is the first branch that made me consider closing my accounts and business with BOA. Lines are always long and slow moving. The tellers seem to not only move slow, but seem to always need assistance with simple transactions, which causes further waiting. But it is the only BOA in the area so I can understand long lines. Excusable. But what really disturbed me about this location was working with Ramina. She has an office and opens up accounts. I had an appointment with her to open a business account. Prior to the appointment we spoke twice, regarding all necessary documents needed. I get to the appointment, only to find out that my maiden name was listed on one of the older documents (the she did not tell me that I needed). I also presented my original marriage certificate (a govnt issued document) authenticating the name change. (Like I said, was banking with BOA FOR 15 years, so the bank itself new I changed my name 3 months ago as I had to present them with this proof to change the name on all my cards). Anyway, we go back and forth about this as this is a minor technicality. She walks out, receives info from another staff member, and comes back in and then blames me for not being “prepared”. I was so shocked. She stated, “Well it’s not my fault that you don’t have what you need!” And the irony was that it WAS her fault because she was the person who told me exactly what to bring in and I also asked for about the name change several times (which was why I took it upon myself to bring my marriage certificate). A complete waste of my gas, time and energy. She handled me so rudely saying things like, “You need to get your business in order. You should learn from this… etc” as if I were a child. Oddly enough, prior to our appt, I was able to open up 2 business credit cards with BOA online using the same documents. But now I’m physically in the establishment, and can’t open a simple business account that would actually be pouring legitimate funds into BOA. The next day, I went to Chase bank, whom I had no prior relationship with and (surprise surprise) they let me open up my business account with pure ease. I am still stunned by Ramina’s unprofessionalism and disregard for BOA policies. I refuse to bank with a bank with rude reps. Also, her office door was wide open and I was completely humiliated with how she spoke to me as the lobby was full and so was the line (as always). So complete strangers could hear her rants. The manager never came in either. Just poor customer service. I would avoid this branch if you could. Unless you have time to wait and if you don’t mind being scolded by Ramina. I gave it two stars instead of 1, because at least the lobby is clean and they offer hand sanitizer and masks. But that’s about it. Another weird incident that happened prior to the Ramina accident… I was getting a cashiers check for 15k and the teller asked me, “what do you need this money for. This is a lot of money”. I just stood there shocked. ITS MY MONEY! I don’t have to explain to you what I’m spending it on. This is just a moronic facility and I hope this place gets shut down for employee retraining. Actually, changing my rating to 1 star.

I don't know if this review should be for Google or for this branch. I looked online to see if the bank was open since the other branches close to me were closed. It said they would be open until 5 and the hours had been recently verified by the business. When I arrived, there was a sign on the door stating that they closed at 4. Waste of time and gas.

With bank of America, service is pathetic. Where I lived in Oregon the nearest branch was 15 miles away... Until it closed, then the nearest was 25 miles. I moved to Georgia and the nearest was 7 miles, not too bad... Until it closed. Even the ATM that I was encouraged to use didn't have cash when I needed it. I call the next nearest branch (14 m) and all I get is "our representatives are busy assisting other customers" over and over again. Pathetic, pitiful, sorriest service ever. It's past time to change banks!

I work for a multi million dollar company that has an account with BOA, I bank with another bank, but wanted to cash my BOA check. They told me I had to wait in the sitting area to have my check "approved" which ended with them just looking at my license. Then the woman "checking" me in to get check approval, told me they were going to soon stop cashing checks at all for non account holders. She then followed me to the desk told the cashier that she thought my company did not pay the check cashing fee (She had no idea if that was true or not as she did not even look at my check). She treated me as though I was a huge problem, and was incredibly rude, and truly tried to be punitive after I told her I disagreed with the approval process . AVOID this place at all costs. I am writing to my union, and my payroll company to ditch these guys and go with a better bank like Wells Fargo.

I came to the bank that I’ve been using for the last eight years to deposit a check that my son received instead of emailing texting or any of the 5 million other ways that this bank uses to communicate they put the check in the mail and I will now have my money in 3 to 5 business days Wells Fargo here I come

I went to the regions bank across the street they had no money. So I went into Bank of America hoping to have a better experience.I came in to cash a check and they wanted me to go to a bank down the street. It was a first Franklin check they don’t have a specific place to cash them, so I don’t under what the problem was. It seems like all the banks near McDonough square are sorry.

I get in the branch 10 minutes before closing and they are already actively shutting things down. The manager walks up and asks how she can help. I tell her I just need to deposit a Cashier's Check. She takes me to her desk in lieu of the teller stations, looks at the check and says "It's a joint check, we can't cash it." I've never heard of this and have deposited plenty of checks on the BOA App that come in my name and my hubby's name. She said he had to be present to deposit the check!?!? I left the branch and deposited the check on the mobile app from my car. Needless to say, just like all the other checks that come in both of our names, it was deposited with no problems. I usually use the branch downtown ATL by my job that has MUCH better service. Never a 2 hour wait for a notary and always OUTSTANDING service. Choose another branch.

I went into this bank , which is my banking center to get something notarized. The 3 greeting staff were personable and said it would be a few minutes before someone could attend to me. I waited for 20 minutes and someone else came in and said he had an appointment at 3:00. He was on time ,the banking associate showed up at 3:21, late. I was told she has to take him first. The customer service is lacking and impacts their brand. Please get the bank organized and provide better customer service.

Terrible...find a better bank. Don't waste your time. They don't care about anybody or their customers at all. Just waited over an hour while they had one teller open and two people standing at the door doing nothing. Plus they closed many of their branches for covid and didn't do anything to cover the lack of locations. Worst customer service ever!
