Is it possible to give ZERO stars to BOA? They list all of the requirements online for what you need to bring in for someone who passes, and yet they follow none of the rules. They don't answer the phone, the email, or chat. They don't even answer the BOA twitter. They are holding my money hostage and give zero reasons why they will not release even after a JUDGE signed the paperwork. I have reported them to the BBB, and the federal reserve and I will be drawing up non compliance paperwork to submit to the judge. There should be no reason they do not close the account, and release the fund. Its thievery, and the customer service is nonexistent. All I read is how horrible this bank is and yet it is still in business. You'll be paying my court fees, I guarantee it!

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS BANK!! They embezzle your deposits. After depositing a check for $3,700 from an insurance company, they placed a hold on the check for 7 business days. I deposited the check and received a normal receipt (not a hold receipt) and was told by the teller that the funds would be available the next day and would have received a hold receipt if one was place on the check. I called the bank when I left and was told the same thing by the manager. I asked the bank manager about the hold because the bank placed a hold on the stimulus check 2 months ago (which is against the banks policy because the deposit was electronic). The day after the deposit I noticed the funds were not in the account. They placed a hold on the check. I called customer service and they said the reason for the hold was because we “never had deposited a check from the company into our account before.” It must be stated that the account has always been in good standings. No overdrafts. No violation of bank policy. After I explained that this would caused tremendous strain since the account is used to pay my mortgage, car payment, and other bills, they recommended that I go ahead and write a check and hope it doesn’t bounce. They also recommended that I try to over draft my account and withdraw money from an atm. I contacted the insurance company to ask them to stop payment on the check but they said the check had cleared. So, Bank of America is making money on my deposit for 7 business days without releasing the funds to my account. That is embezzlement! I just left the branch in Pensacola at 5041 Bayou Blvd. and was told there was nothing they could do on Saturday and that I would need to return on Monday to speak with their check holding department. They also said that the explanation I have been given doesn’t make sense. I agree!! The bank has been reported to the Better Business Bureau. As soon as this situation is resolved, I will close my account and never do business with the bank again!

I had a financial emergency due to a hold on a check deposited at an ATM. I went to this branch thinking that talking to someone in person would be more effective and a better use of my time that the endless strings of calls and transfers I am used to in such a situation. After waiting for a while, the teller told me she was unable to help, but to call a number, since "there's nothing we can do at the financial center." The number provided was the 1-800 number on the back of my card, which I could've called in the first place. I decided to make my phone call in the lobby. I then sat, on hold, for over twenty minutes. During this time, several employees (specifically a man with a beard, an african-american man, and several white women) proceeded to actively ignore me as I sat in obvious duress. I made eye contact with several employees, who never said a word to me, but greeted other individuals as I sat there. No one took one iota of effort to ameliorate my situation. I sat there and watched employees chat with one another, laugh, gesture in my direction, make rude hand motions, and blatantly not care about me not only as a customer, but a person. I was one of three people sitting in their lobby. I will be leaving Bank of America, not because I didn't get what I needed today, not because of the painful bureaucracy, but because I feel that I was not treated with basic human respect in a face-to-face customer situation. This entire branch should be ashamed for how rude and dismissive they were. In the end, I spoke to 5 different departments in 3 different states by phone, and no one could help me. Bank with someone else, and if you have BoA, do everything you can to avoid having personal contact with the employees of this branch.

They require two forms of ID to cash a check sent by the state, but refuse to allow me to use a STATE ISSUED medical ID with my picture on it as a second form of ID. Furthermore the teller was extremely rude and disrespectful. I was discriminated against by these people because of my medical condition.

Won’t service cryptocurrency-related businesses. They will also not tell you this ahead of time so you will book the appointment and make the drive for no reason. Anyone looking to service their crypto business through this bank should look elsewhere.

No drive through service and lobby is closed. You have to make an appointment. Why not have an employee at the drive through? Hancock Whitney does. They are awesome.

Can't understand why 2 branches of Bank of America would close their drive thru banking. I cannot think of another major institution who's done such a stupid customer UNFRIENDLY act! I am temporarily disabled and not able to walk from parking lot all the way into the bank and then wait as long as 15 mins on a Friday to receive help. I'm so disgusted everytime i go to these 2 branches on Bayou Blvd and North Davis Highway. Are they trying to make banking as hard as possible? If so, they succeeded!
