Bank of America Financial Center Pier Ave, Hermosa Beach

At all costs, stay as far away from this branch and RAUL. I've been a Bank of America customer for 10 years and I have never been so frustrated in my life by them until today. He messed up the paper work for a simple domestic wire which nearly prevented me from closing on my house. I will say he was friendly, smiled, and made chitchat just fine, but I don't go to Bank of America to make friends. I go to them to handle financial matters and here is where they get an EPIC FAIL! If dependability matters, stay away. You have been warned!

i don't like to give bad reports.....never...but this is one i have to write about. Hermosa Beach California BANK of America on Pier Avenue is the WORST when it comes to 'waiting' for a very looonnnng time. There are sometimes ONLY 2 tellers when there are about 11 windows to go to in the bank. I go to this location sometimes because when i travel into town that is the closest one & time is limited on my workschedule while traveling. Within the last 2 years of visiting that location, i've never seen more than 3 tellers working at the windows (again there are about 11 windows). sometimes there is only ONE, yes One teller working at the window. The other teller might be on the phone dealing with something or whatever. they are doing their best, i know. but it never fails. About 80% of the time, i witness a customer get "angry/upset" because of the long wait due to MINIMAL workers. And then sometimes you'll see a guy or two in a suit who appear to be BofA employees sitting at their desk in the back either talking to each other or on the phone "All the time!". it doesn't make sense. it's a fairly large size buisness space, with many windows to go to.......YET you'll never see more than 3 employees working...and then you get this line of people waiting....and you know one of them is soon going to explode. Just witnessed one today.......i was not surprised. They were there for 30 minutes before they could get the help they needed (15 minutes in line, then asked to wait on the side for another 15 minutes...eek!). 2 of the tellers who i always see are pleasant and smile and with all the complaining they get from frustrated customers, they still try to smile. They have the 'gift' to work there that's for sure. the other tellers who i see on other visits there, look like their stressing about thier job and not happy. i swear it looked like one was going to cry because she appeared stressed out. IF you plan to visit the Hermosa Beach B of A, be prepared to wait for a while and put lots of coins in the parking meter....although you never know, you might get lucky and be the only customer in the bank...then you'll get quick service.

Not open during their hours and we had to knock on the glass and call multiple times for someone to come out and tell us their computers are down and that “their manager never showed up and that they are here on time and had to wait until that person showed up”

Came to do simple wire . Was waiting almost 30 minutes to seat with personal banker. Bank was empty.

We have a personal and business account here. I'm not a fan of BOA as a company honestly but the people in this branch have always been really kind to us and helpful. I will say, like most places in the Beach Cities there is never a real sense of urgency so if you're in a rush might be best to go to a bigger branch.

They wouldn't cash a check I brought in because it was torn. I even checked online to see if banks take checks that get ripped/torn, and internet said yeah, so i was like okay. Went there they refused to cash it . Bank teller kid was the biggest bellend I've ever seen . So I got pissed asfffff and closed BoA accnt and switched to Kinnetca (which is 10x better).

I been to other branch and they make me wait and not care. But this bank they care, I prefer to go to this bank than any other branch. Customer service are nice too
