This is the worst banking experience I have ever had. No one should be treated like that let alone a preferred reward platinum member of this bank. They call themselves “relationship” bankers but act worse then people working at some payday lending shop. When I walked in and told the representative Luke Jones I was there for everyday banking needs he acted like :”well, don’t you know how to use mobile app?”. Then he ignored me for 25 minutes before I could eventually see a banker even though I made an appointment. Even high school kids can do a better in person customer service job than these so called “relationship banker”.

*POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE* On 1/7/22 an online rep made an appointment for me at this location at 301 East Market Street for 9am 1/8/22 I received the confirmation at 3:00 p.m. And then at 4:30pm I received a cancellation notice generated by B of A automation system. Here in Indianapolis there are many previous reviewers posting the customer service is just not there, as in a live customer service person or adequate customer relations. Sure there's a lot of Bank of America ATMs, kiosks and computerized video banking. I had a similar issue at the River Rd near Keystone branch a few months ago there I had phoned and spoke to someone who said they were actually there and that they would be open between such and so hours I drove straight over there they were closed only the ATMs were open so disappointing I've been with B of A as a customer for 35 plus years on the West Coast now here in Indianapolis for 4 years I am now going to move my accounts elsewhere!

I made an appointment in advance to get some documents notarized with my boyfriend. We arrived early for our appointment only to wait an extra half hour after my appointment time to be seen. Employees were nice and kept saying someone would be with us soon. Once we finally got to speak to someone, they said they cannot notarize "documents like this" whatever that means. Huge waste of our time after waiting so long and taking time off work. When making a notary appointment, maybe disclose what types of documents we can get notarized and ones we cannot? I couldn't find any document restrictions on the BoA website. Employee we spoke to was in a rush to get us out the door. The banker directed us to FedEx in the circle for notary services, so we went over there but they do not provide this service at all. FedEx employee said this bank directs people all the time to them for notaries even though they stopped providing that service 5 years ago. Disappointing for BoA to redirect customers incorrectly like this. Hopefully someone at this branch will read this and take note to not send people to FedEx for notary services, and don't make people wait past their appointment time like this. What's the point of having an appointment then?

The customer service here is garbage. I was already planning to switch banks, but this location was the last straw, at my next convenience I will be closing my bank of America account because of this location. They took my ID then distracted me by starting a conversation, where the woman that helped me said she could solve a problem that truck drivers like myself have had for decades, meanwhile she never gave me my license back, which costed me money because I had to go back in Indianapolis, when I could have been going to Washington state, which would have earned me about $500.

This branch is the best! The bank manager was kind and very helpful. She was able to help me solve a situation that the other branches were clueless about.

    Response from the owner

Hello Don. Thank you for the positive review about your recent experience with Bank of America. We appreciate you taking the time to let us know. ^rosie

The phone service is horrible. The automated system is a series of questions that are pointless it tells you to go to the website which does not work correctly. If you stay on the line it rings 6 times and then sends you to an automated recording would you have to listen to completely then push one then push for again for it to ring another six times and no one will answer. The last time I was there a month ago I waited for 20 minutes and then found out the only person who could help me was not there that day. Most branches are automated or have only one person working I have to go to this particular Finance Branch to talk to the specialist I need and I can't make an appointment.

Only knock is that I called multiple times over the course of 2 hrs and nobody answered the phone. However, when I arrived I spoke with a business banker by the name of Indira who was phenomenal! Pleasure to work with. I was about to go to chase had I not encountered her. Thank you for your help!
