B.O.S.S. Retirement Solutions N, Lehi

Impossible to get this company to stop inundating us with junk mail/invitations to free dinners. Yes, we’ve called them multiple times, spoke to a human, gave our info. The junk mail continues. Full color ads on heavy stock paper. Apparently their fees allow spending money to spam to the wrong market. Maybe this review will get their attention. My husband is 59 and I’m 57. Do they really think we’re only now thinking of saving for retirement? Ridiculous.

I have been with BOSS now for many years and have always had the best experience with all the employees. They are always professional in all their dealings, generous with their time and resources and honest in everything they do. I have worked with many financial advisors since starting to invest in my twenties and wished I had found them back then as my portfolio would have been much stronger and felt safer in my decisions. I would recommend them to anyone from individuals just staring the journey to the seasoned investors, and I have!

I was very hesitant to move my 401K money into investments suggested by BOSS, but after doing so was happy I did. The return on my investments seem to be growing more now than they were in my 401K. BOSS has also helped me feel much more secure about my future retirement plans which they helped me create.

I have had great advice from Ed Griffin. His responses well consider both my financial goals and my risk tolerance. If he were to leave B.O.S.S. Retirement Solutions for another firm I would seek his advice on where he would recommend moving my retirement account. Ed has been a good friend and has put up with some unkindly remarks I have made because of my not checking on information I thought was correct. His advice was solid and my attitude was impolite and disrespectful for a man with his level of integrity! I hope we can continue the great relationship we’ve had over the past several years! Our experience with B.O.S.S. has been very positive. Dave has been very helpful in getting us set up with a solid plan. He also has a great ability to boil things down so we can understand them.

We have been using Boss Retirement for close to two years now. Our advisor is very personable and answers our questions quickly, as they come up. He always keeps us in the loop when allocations change, based on what is best for our returns.

During 2021 (January thru September) My TD Ameritrade account had more months with negative ending values than months of positive ending values. When I asked the question, “how many months of consecutive negative ending values does it take for someone at BOSS to take notice and see what we should do to eliminate it. We were told that your firm doesn’t monitor checking changes to monthly values but you go by other indicators positive and negative to monitor your clients positions . For us, every dollar counts and monthly changes are the key how we measure the status of our investments. For us, that is what I believe BOSS should be doing for my investments. That way I at least know someone is looking at it. I can’t afford to keep having negative monthly changes that eats away our principal dollars. By the way, last year in 2020, this same TD Ameritrade account ended up for the year a sizable negative position us as well. I am happy with my two other investment accounts and how they will help us with another stream of income during retirement which is just around the corner for us.
