    Absolutely ridiculous. I opt out of overdraft and NSF, but somehow they DONT cover the money AND STILL CHARGE THE FEE OF $38. I will never bank here again, closing my account didn’t phase them either. You would think I would have been refunded the $38 overtop of me closing my account but nope. They kept their fee and closed my account. That’s okay, glad to be done with these constant fees that make no sense if it is not covered. I would suggest banking anywhere but here. All they do is find ways to charge you $38.

    The staff (specifically one employee) should be much nicer. It is called customer service for a reason. The bank could be much better if they fired the African American woman who works in there. She always has an attitude (24/7). YOU CAN'T ASK HER ANYTHING. Everything she says has an mean and unpleasant tone. If she doesn't want to be there, then she should quit or be fired. As an Atlantic Union Bank customer, I should not have to go to another city cash or deposit my check. Today was the last straw. Either she get fires or I will post a review everyday until the manager or corporate steps in. As an African American customer, it is a shame and disgrace to see an employee of the same race treat every customer so badly. As customers, we deserve to be treated with courtesy and respect.

    Editing my review, still a one star. I can't walk. My asthma said the bank is too far. I have no driver. Everybody quarantined themselves. The bank has my debit card. I called the bank to get them to mail it to me. I couldn't verify my identity over the phone. (Personally, I think the lady on the other end might heard like a 9 when I said 5 or something like that.) Stuck at home with no money. I called the doctor and told her my asthma was bad. She sent me a prescription to a medical supply center. The center called to tell me my prescription costs almost $20! So I am stuck at home. Asthma is bad. Can't walk .No debit card. No prescription.

    I have been dealing with these folks for about four years when I first moved to Radford. Have always been treated well. Mrs. Smith the VP and Shane the asst. are great. One of the few businesses that still has an "old school" model where the customer truly comes first. Special kudos because they give out real Bic pens. The only reason I give 4/5 stars is because they need to pay better interest rates. Would gladly put half a million in cash here if they would raise their rates. And yes, I do have it.

    I use this bank for my personal and business accounts and always have a great experience. Any staff member I have interacted with has always been very helpful no matter the task at hand. So glad to have a reliable local bank to help with the multiple business transactions I must make each week.

    This bank doesn’t care about you as a person at all. Just how many fees they can get out of you. Ive now been charged an overdraft fee for .32 cents and was charged an overdraft for my account falling -1.46 WOW. All was positive next day but that doesn’t matter, they won’t waive any fees for you the Radford VA branch there is no one there nice to talk to on the phone. Complete disgust. I have so much coming out it will be hassle to change banks but I am going to.
