    This is a very horrible service. My car had been in the shop since 02/02/22 and it took them until 03/15/22 to even approve my vehicle to get fixed. Due to waiting almost 45 days to even get approved for my claim the parts were no longer available. I was only given 11 days for a rental and after that I had to pay for the rental out of pocket until the engine could arrive which it still wasn't arrived. I called up to the highest level and all I could get was an apology about something that I have no control over and due to how slow their service is. Even the auto mechanic working on the vehicle has tried to call to help me due to this horrible service and they have done is apologized and said that there's nothing that they can do even though this whole thing is entirely on them.

    Very strange company. I got issue in my house in May 14 , I reported at May 18 and then they sent me letter with list of thing I should provide . I even can’t reach them to provide information. They never respond to my phone call , they only have voice call, never call me back and in the letter it says during 7 days I should respond. How it is possible to respond if they never answer? Horrible service.

    terrible customer service, constant stalling and will place you on hold for 20+ minutes only to hang up on you trying to get my phone fixed, which has been insured for 4 years, only to be told it hasn't been insured, despite being fixed several times in the past and being told by my carrier that it is covered edit: the issue was someone entered my phone as a different memory size, and after several calls I was finally told by one person what the issue was carrier fixed the problem and is replacing my phone, not assurant

    Reading the reviews I have fallen into the same rabbit hole. Overnight a check over a week ago 26 dollars. They should have received on Monday and they said it would be a two day turn around then mailed back.   I have not received it yet and when I go to check on it, I get nothing, tried calling, but have been past around and no call back.  When I tried to set up an account it says the i already have one ( but I don't)  it says call customer service and that's another rabbit hole that goes nowhere.

    For some reason they denied my claim. When I called, the person handleing the claim tried to find every loophole not to approve my claim. Then he lied and said a supervisor wasn't available. I then called right back and got a supervisor and after a very long process she finally approved the claim. it took about a week and a half to get my phone and it's only supposed to take one day. I canceled the insurance as soon as I got my replacement.

    I will not purchase any product or service from any company that uses Assurant to provide insurance or extended warranty coverage. The are nothing but a scam. When I called the State Insurance Regulator to lodge a claim, I was told that they were trying to shut them down. I will be filing suit.

    If you have any insurance products written by Assurant, such as mobile phone, vehicle, or renters insurance for example, cancel the policy immediately, and contact your credit card company and dispute the charges as far back as allowed. They are a ripoff, and their policies aren't worth the paper they are written on. I am filing a multi million dollar lawsuit with class action status against them, and have lodged complaints with numerous NYS regulatory agencies. Sell any NYSE:AIZ stock you might own, this company is going out of business.

    Why do they offer this service Overnight? I paid $26 dollars for nothing…because the check has not been processed yet, it only needs a signature to be able to start repairing my house

    If you are reading this review you've already had to do some investigating. Assurant processes property damage claim payment checks on behalf of my mortgage provider, Freedom Mortgage. This alone is deceptive in so far as they are not upfront in noting this is an outside company. This is not the "loss drafts" department of your mortgage servicer. Putting this aside, they perform an administrative function (literally endorsing a check) for smaller claim payments where no other documentation is needed. Nevertheless, you are told about a 2-3 day "process" which is required. My check was received by them by overnight mail today. Assurant has no record of it. Luckily, I sent it via UPS with signature required. I have been in contact with Freedom Mortgage and am having them follow up. The website Assurant directs you to has no phone number, the phone system has live representatives hidden behind layers of menus and the entire process - which easily can be handled in 10 minutes - is handled inefficiently and unprofessionally. The worst part was hearing that after the 2-3 days it takes to process a check, they want you to wait 7-10 days for the endorsed check to arrive. To try to avoid this additional delay, I even included a return overnight mailing label which one of the earlier reviews mentioned. These inefficiencies are not acceptable, especially where the property adjusters do the right thing and promptly issue claim payments. It is hard to imagine that these delays don't cause significant hardship for many homeowners looking to rebuild as quickly as possibly following a loss that takes place through no fault of their own.

    Had a storm come through a couple of years ago. The adjuster was very prompt in coming to my home and checking my roof. Everything was done very quickly. Had no problems or issues with anything. Love my new roof! I got metal instead of shingles. No more shingles all over the ground anymore.
