    I’m 32 years old, I’ve been a member with ACU since I was about 17 years old. My mom was a member for years and help me set up at the Hephzibah location(they have recently closed). Not sure why there’s indirect accusations of racial discrimination, myself and my mother have been members combined for over 40 years and we are both women of color. Never had any issue. Never not been greeted as soon as I walk in. I’ve worked in the Wheeler area and this location was always more convenient than the Hephzibah location because of that. I’ve only ever been met with friendly, attentive workers. When I went through the home buying process at 27 years old, they became somewhat family after how much I annoyed them requesting documents and asking questions lol. Also, this location makes replacement debit cards on spot for a $5 charge (they can pull from your account).

    SHOULD HAVE READ THE REVIEWS!!! They are a shared partner of my credit union. I went in to get a cashiers check and was met with disgusted looks and distain as soon as I approached the teller. I was told I could not get a cashiers check without authorization on a account that has no limitations. They offered to give me a cashiers check in my name but refused to cash it because "I am not allowed to have more than a certain amount of cash leaving their branch". I have never heard of a bank that will not cash their OWN cashiers checks. When I asked to speak with a manager I was told "I am the teller manager" and there is nothing we can do for you. I have never had such a hard time accessing MY funds. At the end of the day I went to another partner branch (Peach State Credit Union) and was met with dignity and respect that all customers deserve. I have worked customer service and was taught interacting with customers is 50% of the job. Not only will I move my funds to another financial institution in the area, I will NEVER give this institute my business and discourage anyone from dealing with this credit union. This branch and it's employees can benefit from training on how to interact with customers.

    My wife lost her Dad and my Mother In Law lost her husband of 55 years on April 3 2019. They had been members of the credit union through many mergers and acquisitions for 30 years. On April 5th, after reading his obituary, the credit union closed and locked their joint accounts. My mother in law could not access her pension money, cash, debit card, saving account or anything else at the bank. They have excellent credit (775-800) scores. They had 3-4 months of cash in the bank. They had a joint mortgage, checking and savings accounts. The credit union representative said it was procedure to close the JOINT account down because he had one credit card that was not joint and it had a balance. They did not call or check on their 30 year customer. They just shut the account off. She had auto pay bills set up and medicine to purchase. We are taking care of all those needs but if someone did not have family to help, they would be the victim of bad bank policies. I would recommend pulling all your money out of this bank if you are a current member. There is a better place somewhere else.

    I love the service and friendly employee interaction. I am a "Share" bank member so they take my deposits for my home bank, Central Credit Union of Florida. These employees make me feel right at home. Very friendly and knowledgeable. Great asset to the organization.

    I have had a bank account there since I was younger. I’ve always talked about how nice they were up until recently! I don’t deal with discrimination well at all. My husband is the sweetest person you will ever meet and wouldn’t hurt a fly! However, he has dreads and maybe that’s why this has happened. The lady, the same lady that I’ve always gone too was sooo mean to my husband and I. She looked at my husband in disgust, through our stuff down even while my hand was out and was talking so rude to us. After she Seen me walk off she tried talking with me. So, she told my husband to come get the copy of our license. His response was “thank you ma’am” and her whole attitude changed. However, I decided to go to a different lady because I’m at the end of my pregnancy and I have no tolerance for rude people. I work with the public and I know how rough it can get but you can’t treat people any kind of way and think it’s okay! For that I am thinking about leaving and going to a different bank!

    Their policies do not reflect the change we have had to live with for the past 15 months due to Covid 19. They do have a restroom for the customer only(not a public restroom). They do not abide by the American Disability Act when it comes to disputes on your credit/ debit cards. I would not trust them with my financial well-being. It's no wonder the Hepzibah Location is no longer opened. I have a gut feeling it's related to poor customer support and card service assistance.

    I have been a member of this Credit Union since I was a little girl. Great service and smiling familiar faces every time I walk into any branch. They also provide a kid-friendly atmosphere; as a mom of two I greatly appreciate any place of business that is kid-friendly these days. My husband needed a new debit card and they had us in and out within a few minutes. I also love all of the online banking options they have provided for their members. Definitely a great financial institution!

    Now that we are finally free of Associated Credit Union. I feel the need to vent. Following my father's death, my family was treated with the upmost disrespect from Associated Credit Union. They locked us out of my father's account and absolutely refused us common courtesy and the most basic customer service. They victimized a grieving widow over and over again. This from a credit union that the entire family have has had accounts at during some point of our lives, my Dad’s account was nearly 40 years old. All I can say is that I would highly suggest any friends in the Augusta area to switch banks immediately. I have never dealt with a group of people as incompetent, disrespectful, and deplorable. Move your money and all assets away from them now!

    Although customer service is great. The bank is not a military friendly business. I am a military service member and had a very difficult time trying to get the bank to approve shipment of my car to another country due to military orders. The VP of Lending Mr. Chad Evans was not as specific and helpful as I would wish; not giving specific reasons why the vehicle cannot be shipped after I did everything he and the risk management team asked. May be a great bank but VERY INCONVENIENT for ACTIVE MILITARY MEMBERS.

    This credit union used to be the best place in Augusta to put your money with trust. I am so frustrated with what happened to me and this credit union this year. There hours are terrible and they closed my favorite branch downtown Augusta.They are not even open on Sat. anymore. But what really grabs me is the fact that they made me pay for accidental life ins. from last year that I never knew anything about. Good luck if you even think about an account here. Lol.
