Associated Bank Mineral Point Rd, Madison

DATE 3/4/2019 I have been banking here for over 25 years. There is a very lovely and talented group of people at this branch. I always get fast service and I am always greeted with a smile & hello. I like the banking here also for getting a loan as I had no problems in doing that. The personal banker was polite and offered me many options based on my Credit Score. I was highly delighted with my personal experience at this bank. The online banking is very easy to set up and is fast to check your full budget & all checks you wrote out & when paid. This branch deserves a five star rating based on all I stated here. Beautiful people, intelligent service & great customer help! I wouldn't bank anywhere else in Dane County! Amen! Been using Associated Bank (Green Bay) for 25 + years and used First Federal (La Crosse) prior to it being purchased by Associated Bank. Great Bank, great service and excellent online banking options. Been using this branch for the last 3 years and they are easy to work with. Like all service organizations you need to be knowledgeable and be prepared to get the right services and best deals for your needs.

I've been to this branch several times. The men and women working there are not only extremely competent, they are so friendly that I almost feel bewildered, like they are mistaking me for somebody else. Even though I am poor, they treat me better than just about everybody. I wish they were my relatives.

Ridiculous. I set up a checking account online and never got a debit card. I called in and the person on the phone told me they had sent it to my previous address, which was never part of that account. It was, several months ago, on the mortgage application my wife and I completed with them. However, the mortgage address has been updated for some time now so that address should have nothing to do with it, particularly because I had to enter my current address when setting up the account. Ok so that was bad. The person on the phone said they updated my address and my card would be coming soon. Great. Several months go by and nothing. I stop in to this branch probably in July and tell them that I still haven't gotten debit card. They tell me I can talk to a banker and walk out with one today. Great. I sit with a banker for a while and he works on the computer setting things up you know. He tries to print a card 3 times (each time takes 5 minutes or so) and finally gives up, saying they will mail it to me because they are having problems with the card printer. Ok. Fine. Finally getting resolved after all the BS. It is now mid September and I have yet to get my debit card. I met somewhat similar, though not quite as bad incompetence with our mortgage account. I have spoken with 3 representatives from this bank, excluding tellers, and each has failed me on a very simple task. I cannot stress how disappointed I am in this bank.

Don't bank here - especially if you are a small business owner. The online banking experience is not good. You have to login twice to be able to see all your accounts and pay bills. You will be charged fees for your business account - there are other banks in town that offer free checking for small businesses. The staff in the branch is not empowered to help you when problems or issues arise.

Incompetence is rampant at the branch. I had to wait 15-20 min for the manager while he was getting back from the lunch break to open my account. I was asked plenty of irrelevant questions that gave away core knowledge gaps in certain areas important for banking. On the top of all that I was supplied incorrect SWIFT code that caused me and another involved party lots of problems. Finally when I was closing the account I was denied small amount of cash I was asking. This branch can be rate at 0.5-1 star.

Very bad service from the employees, especially with the notary Jaqui. 👎
