Associated Bank Elm St, Staunton

Debit card hacked, had to pay for it, and 3 days after got notice from collection agency to pay outstanding debt which I had already paid. Would not recommend.

I would give them no stars if I could. I was scammed and had definite proof. Loss prevention can apparently get ahold of them and they told me they won't refund my money. Worst bank I've ever had. Definitely switching banks immediately.

Never got a call back on my stack of two dollar bills. Been asking for a month was told they come in every other Tuesday or Wednesday. Finally got a call a month later and they had old wrinkly bills. Far from what i was told and far from what I ordered. Waste of my time and very unprofessionally handled.

If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all....

Transition was practically flawless with very minor to no inconveniences!

The day I got my job I called this bank and asked for the information I needed to get my checks directly deposited into my account. The teller I talked to got into my account and told me the needed information as if nothing was wrong with my account but oddly enough my account was closed without my knowledge. How did I find out, you ask? On payday I went to casually use my debit card only for it to say “Error: Unauthorized Usage”. So I thought why not call and get it fixed!! I call them only to find out that my account was closed 2 days before and that they tried to contact me regarding that issue, however, I received nothing. Disrespectful and unprofessional in my perspective. I’m not “going back to open another account.” I’m going to choose another, more professional bank for the time being. Ciao.

Ive NEVER received such rude and unhelpful customer service! Would recommend driving farther to do your banking. even if youre local!!! “Customer service” reps are always mean and snide for no reason. They even gossip about the businesses that do their banking with FNB to other customers? Incredibly unprofessional!!! Very sad that BULLDOG COUNTRY is home to such an awful bank!

hi there i feel with your problem far as the banking gose like the ideal that the bank thet float checks for 3 or 4 days but i dont like it as i like fnb directly gose in to your account witch i like that i think fnb left thigs as is wes ver happy toth the dellers very polight and courtiouse people like tooke took over no so so try be bit not same im switch banks to boss banking to when the bank be come oppen

This bank since taking over Staunton first national is horrible ....First thing they did was shut down the Livingston branch and fired the good people that worked there and replaced them with outside personnel ....they immediately started adding new fees and raising the existing fees, Went to deposit a check in my business account and they now need two pieces of I.D. to deposit a check, customer service was the first casualty , wife called to talk to customer service to ask question about our account and was asked for her social security number before even getting to speak to customer service. I have banked there for 17 years and really liked the bank. I am going Monday to open an account with BOS bank in Staunton i have heard good things about that bank. Thanks Associated bank for making my life more complicated during a pandemic and destroying a good local bank you won't be missed.
