I was really impressed by the communication and how the team was "on the ball" with every single detail. I would recommend Assent Mtg to anyone. Had a very good experience with the folks at this company, initially made the mistake of just asking online for mortgage quotes and quickly got overwhelmed. Assent was different, much less fuss and noise and they did things very professionally AND we got a really good rate. Matt Kazemi there was very good, patient with us and his advice was spot on, I'd definitely use him again if I was going to do this another time.

I would give 0 if I could! Terrible experience with Kris Kim at Assent!!! Do not use! Wonderful at first until we signed initial CD and app. Then he sat on our application for months until rates went up; he then increased rate from our 2.5 WITH lenders credits up to 2.875 with NO lenders credits and got angry when I inquired about it. I was forced to close, as rates kept going up at that point. He was rude and told me to just sign Final CD -- he even backdated it without my permission so that I would have less time on rescission. I was afraid to start over as rates were rising quickly at that point in time; therefore I signed. There were errors on final paperwork with no way to reach him; Notary due in 3 hours. I tracked down escrow officer co-worker and she was able to correct them and get them to Notary in time. Horrible experience with Kris - rude and angry and failed to respond to emails! His dishonesty and procrastination cost us thousands of dollars. We could have gotten a better final rate from other companies, yet after Kris' stalling, it was too late to start over! Don't use!

Super helpful team and easy to use software simplified the complex mortgage process easy for me. In a couple of clicks, I was able to submit my documents and complete the loan process. Love the team and Looking forward to working with Matt and team again!

Took 2 1/2 months to get refi closing on investment property. Assent uses third-party underwriters. Both slow and bad. Constantly had to reach out to find out what was going on. Allowed loan lock to expire causing a Rate increase. Looking at all of the reviews I wonder how did I have such a amazingly bad experience. Find another company. Every phase was poorly executed.

I refinanced my home with Assent. Assent was able to save me over 20 years of mortgage payments with this new loan. Matt was honest and straightforward. He let me know right away the service that they can provide and the things I needed to do to get the process going. I also appreciated Aaron and Nicole for reaching out not just through email, but also text to fill me in on the process so that I knew what was going on. Worked with Kris Kim and Felicia Zandonatti and they were great and were able to time the refinance where I was able to have 2 months between mortgage payments between switch from my previous lender to Assent Mortgage. They were also able to negotiate a lower interest rate than the retention department of my previous lender was willing to grant.

Matt did an outstanding job refinancing my condo. I started with three different loan originators, but quickly I stayed with Matt because of his daily engagement at every step, sometimes late in the day or weekends. The loan was very complicated due to new requirements with insurance companies on condos, and required many follow ups. I was very impressed Matt never gave up, stayed on top of everything, following up daily during the entire process, extremely professional. I did refinance with cash out, and I am planning to refinance soon again with Matt to further reduce my interest rate.

I was contacted for a mortgage refinance after sending out some requests for information. After I created the loan application Kris Kim refused to tell me any rates. He would only keep asking me what rate I preferred. I asked him repeatedly to tell me his rates and he simply would not. After telling him I wasn't sure what rates I would prefer and again asking for him to give me their rates, he hung up on me. Awful service! Don't do business here!

As I worked with Matt Kazemi of Assent Mortgage, I came to realize that he was a hard worker.. Not only did he work hard, but he was also interested in doing the best he could for me. It's not often we work with a person with standards like that. I think I just got lucky. I feel this is his natural work ethic, the way he would work with all his clients. He did a great job for me, and he always had time to answer my questiions and clarify any concerns and confusion I had.
