Ascentra Credit Union 53rd Ave, Bettendorf

I have been member of Ascentra Credit Union for over 40 years. They gave us our home loan and we were one of the first to get a home loan from them. We have had all our car loans with Ascentra. Always have had great service. They have explained everything clearly to us. Always have been treated with respect. Great place for taking care of all your financial needs.

Very helpful! I switched from another bank after difficulty with a security breach. Love how secure my on line banking is. The best part is how quick I can get through the drive up or if I go inside again the service is very fast!

Ascentra provides excellent customer service! The reason for my low rating is due to inability to use tap & pay with my Ascentra debit card.

Ascentra is a great place to bank, I really like having local answers to my questions. We specifically wanted a bank that would do it's own mortgage servicing, after we had a bad experience with a national mortgage lender on our last house. We got our first mortgage with them and then refinanced it easily with them too.

They are always there and Eager to help they treat you like you are a part of their family and not just a costumer

This is an awesome bank! Was looking around at loansd refinance my motorcycle. My bank, vibrant, that I’ve banked with for years, I thought would’ve gave the best rate. They use Experian, which no other banks I have looked at use. That tends to be your lowest rating. They offered me 4.6%. Called green state, they offered me about the same. Went to Ascentra, got the loan at 2.5%. Was extremely happy. Got everything taken care of, and the Check sent out to Harley to pay off the loan. Will be switching over all my banking to Ascentra. Kind of sad that the bank you’ve used for over 10 years, gives you the highest rate out of anywhere you’ve called. Probably why vibrant has closed pretty much all their locations.

Creating an account was so easy! They were so professional and efficient! The friendliness of the staff was great! Glad I came here as suggested by my family member!

I am very disappointed with my experience with this credit union especially Jennifer Hudson. We went in trying to get a heloc they told us everything was going to be fine told us our appraisal will pass no problem. Well our appraisal did pass and we could have gotten a good chunk of our debt taken care of but they decided it wasn’t worth it for them after putting us through everything and wasting our time and now charging us an appraisal fee. This bank is horrible I don’t know why anyone would go to them go to vibrant if you want to get your money’s worth.

I have had $100 sitting in a savings account at Ascentra for several years and just let it earn a little interest over time. I recently noticed that it has not earned any interest at all in awhile so I asked the bank about it and was told that my account is "dormant" since I have done nothing with it for awhile. I find that ridiculous. It would have earned a little something in another institution. I will keep my money elsewhere.
