This is not on the Greenwood Branch at all, but Arvest in general. I actually spoke to Landon in Greenwood who gave me the information I needed. 9 branches were bought by Farmers Bank & Trust. Apparently my "bio" was sold to them. I was told by Arvest Customer Service that I could simply go into a branch not being bought by Farmers Bank & Trust and I could simply open a new account. Today I get a phone call saying that information was incorrect. I have been an Arvest customer for 13 years, but let me tell you this is SERIOUSLY trying my patience!!!

    Response from the owner

Richard we are very sorry to hear this. We'd like to connect you with a member of management to listen and learn more. Could you please email your contact number to [email protected] ?

They have commercials that say we care about our customers. NOT TRUE!!!! I wont do business or open another account here or any other Arvest again, the bank charged me dormant fees for months with out me knowing even though i was making deposits every couple months. by the time i went to put more money in they said i had way less in the account than i expected. They had nothing but excuses. After politely arguing over the phone about the charges the bank refused to give mt my money back as i had no proof that i had been making deposits, i did not keep the receipts, I closed my account from a different branch. After closing my account the greenwood branch had the audacity to solicit "mortgage options with me" not once but 3 times i was called and i said no, i would not do business with them after i was treated. I am about 8 months late making this review but it needs to be know that Arvest bank every where are taking money from people. second issue: i trusted that i would get correct change when getting change for a yard sale, i was shorted 7 dollars, it might not seem like much but seriously if you cant count money you don't need to work at a bank. It was partly my fault for not having them count it out to me but i trusted them. I have confirmed from 4 other people in 2 states that they were being charged dormant fees, and one of them even had weekly pay checks going into the account.

I imagine they're good bank for people that have money but for us poor disabled folk they don't treat me as well of course they always smile and are happy to service me but I just feel like I'm not as welcome since I'm poor and plus it cost to have a checking account I guess?or at least have to have good credit..?.to have my money saved for me!!?:/:/..how disappointing but I'll take my money to a bank that wants to hold on to it for me regardless of how much it is!:/....okay new review my grandmother has an account for the last forty years and just gave me a $20 check so that I could get some food cuz once again I'm poor disabled and have no money and I pulled through the drive-thru and the lady actually told me I need to get out and come in with two forms of ID and then was going to charge me $5 out of the $20 check that my grandmother gave me from arvest her bank and as I told her I'm pulling through the drive-through cuz I'm disabled and I do not have my wheelchair with me can my wife walk in with the same last name and address and she kind of knows what's going on here but no!!! I need to just drag myself in if I have to!!!!!what!!!!.. won't cash a $20 check frommy grandma which has had an account with them for years she is so mad right now that she's fixing to cancel her CDs and account and all the extra stuff she has an arvest Bank and just move it all to regions and Farmers where she has the rest of her banking... And her are livid!!!!.I need that money for food for me and my family tonight and now I can't get it because I couldn't "drag myself in the bank".. I thought the point of the outside drive-thru was so that you could cash checks and not have to go in I had plenty of ID and I pulled up to the first window!!!:/.so upset and disappointed..annd now gonna be hungry tonight and tommorrow..until my grandma can drive all the way from fort Smith down here to greenwood so that she can give me money for the check that she gave me so that I could get food and gas with isn't that something people?!!!!!

    Response from the owner

Hi Chris, it is true that we do require two forms of IDs and ask that you come inside to cash checks drawn on our bank for non-customers. However, we wanted to let you know that we do not charge the $5 check cashing fee unless your check is over $100. We are truly sorry that you were mis-informed, we would like the opportunity to make things right. Would you or your grandmother email us your contact information so that we can connect with you to explain these changes?

Seriously the worst Arvest ever. My company has an account with them. They are supposed to cash paychecks as part of the agreement. They always give us problems.

    Response from the owner

We're so sorry to hear this, Melanie. We value your business and would like to connect you to a member of local management to discuss further. Will you please send us your name and contact phone number to [email protected]?
