Armco Credit Union Aster Way, Mars

I love this bank. I usually do most of my business in the Butler branch but it is nice to see them expanding out further. And this one is new, huge and overall just a beautiful building in the nice township of Adams. Very nice.

Easily the worse experience I've had dealing with a financial institution. I applied for a membership then vehicle loan to purchase a used vehicle at a local dealership. Not only was my loan never processed, my membership was terminated due to "inactivity and the assumption it was fraudulent" despite logging in multiple times per day to look for additional paperwork to e sign. My loan information was partially crossed with a family member's more than once, including my documents for e sign having been sent to a relative. I spoke with several people during the week long ordeal, all mostly clueless about the situation. I've since had to beg the dealer to hold my vehicle for an additional week as they continued to receive offers, reschedule (and pay to do so) personal bookings so that I can buy my vehicle before all agreements expire. I should have had a week to spare. I rarely give poor reviews, but this is one of only a select few instances that are worth it. Only reason I didn't go elsewhere is to avoid an additional set of credit inquiries.

How do I get an answer to my question?

This review is only for the Mars location. My usual location is great, but I would have switched banks by now if Mars was the only option. The new building is nice, but that’s all I can say about it. First and foremost, a bank teller gave out my personal information and exact numbers about my account status to someone who wasn’t me and didn’t present (and wasn’t even asked for) any form of ID. This was when the new building had just opened so maybe this teller hadn’t been trained yet, but I really didn’t appreciate it. The brand new ATMs are also awful, can’t even accept the same cash that’s been withdrawn from them a minute ago. They hold cash deposits for up to 72 hours, which I wasn’t expecting because back when I banked with PNC the atms there could accept cash deposits immediately, but for that alone I wouldn’t have left a bad review. I thought that was only the ATMs since those tend to be serviced by a technician and bankers can’t usually access them directly, but two days ago I used the night deposit here to make a cash deposit and that hasn’t even been posted as pending on my account yet. My usual location counts cash deposits immediately (except through the ATM) or by the time the bank opens in the morning whether it’s during bank hours or through the night deposit. Mars is on my way home from work, but it’s definitely not convenient to never have any idea if they’re even processing anything, let alone having to wait so long. My check deposits process faster than cash here. That said, Armco CU is a good bank. Just not this location.

Went there for a car loan and a personal loan, I had quick and great service from them. Also extremely friendly staff felt right at home there.
