WORST CONSTRUCTION! My Client purchased a Brand New home at the SkyView Terrace in the month of December of 2018, a wet wall around an electrical outlet was noticed a month later the whole wall was leaking and due to that it was discovered that the stucco they used was of poor quality so the ENTIRE wall of the house was removed, It took them 8-9 months to finish the job while my client was not able to move in his brand new home. So $30,000 in mortgage payments and $18,000 for rent PULTE/ AMERICAN WEST offered today to pay my client $2500 ( yes your read it correct ) for the inconvenience. Have in mind that FOR A YEAR we did not even hear back from them. Complete Insult!!!!! I have one client that is buying a new home at the moment with American West and after that i am Done with them. Taking them to court, lets see if the Judge sees things the same way.

I am active duty Army and from this company’s adds it looked like they really care about the service members. However the Brentwood community sales reps are creating illegal bargaining by getting deposits from several customers on same lot, that way they want customers to bit, and they will sale it to whoever pay more. My opinion this is illegal. I requested a supervisor number but no luck they told me they don’t give it away. I think this is because of my skin and my religion, and I think cuz I am not white that is why I received this treatment. So I have no choice except to file complaint with Nevada consumers department. Thank you American West Homes for running a bulldozer on my family’s dream. I doubt it anyone will respond from this company to me but I hope new customers read this. I will be putting a YouTube video on this matters as well for future awareness. I wish I could give this company and their Brentwood community sales reps a ZERO star.

The worst builder with worst customer service and bad warranty. AW doesn't stand with integrity from their employees starting from the beginning of trasaction in sales to poor quality of the materials of being installed from flooring, paint, cabinets, lights, railing bathroom cabinets and accessories etc. When we did the final walk through we pointed out all issues and were promised to be fix and it's been a year and now we are requesting it to be fix,. they give us a run around. Now that Pulte took over, we expected it to be better, sent several emails and thesame run around we received with no response. I'm tired of chasing for answeres and asking for things to be done which were part of their workmanship warranty that wasn't delivered as expected. I would never use this builder in the future nor recommend anyone esp my clients to buy homes from them ay yikes.

American west is absolutely HORRIBLE. I would not buy bubble gum from them again. First of all they laid cardboard down for one of our floors to cover up imperfect wood during the build. They "forgot" to put a floor truss upstairs. In addition to this we have had to call them out multiple times to fix things. Latest has been my air conditioner, to which we received a response that we should set it to 80 and that would be comfortable. Mind you we have two small children at home. 80 is not a comfortable temperature no matter who you are. They are terrible quality builders and only pass inspection because the clark county inspectors are so busy they can only give the most basic inspection and not the inspection you need to feel your family to be in a well built home. If you do decide to build with them, make sure you tell them from Day 1 you plan to get your own inspector and hire one. The money you pay them will be nothing compared to the things they will need to fix. Also, in the contract make sure you note, anything your inspector finds wrong you expect to be fixed. American west is notorious for telling people they will not fix it unless a clark county inspector finds a problem because they know they can not dedicate the time your personal inspector can to find the wrong items. If you buy American West d0 your research. Best price per sq ft only helps if you're not spending the following years dumping money into your house to fix their mistakes.

Home Service Plus came through for me again! Had a minor issue with my bathroom drywall and Alan took care of having the repairs completed! Did I mention, I'm out of warranty and they still provided me with excellent service! Once the appointment was made, Kenny Heck came out and took care of everything! He was very detailed and made everything look perfect. He completed the repairs and left my bathroom in perfect shape. He was very professional and I couldn't of felt more at ease that the repairs were dome the right way with no shortcuts. Kenny you Rock! I don't know what other builders Home Service Plus works with but if you don't have them on speed dial...your out of luck! Alan and Kenny you guys are AWESOME!! Thank you!

Trash!!! American West Homes robbed our my family of our earnest money deposit as well as the upgrades into the new home we purchased. This company has zero ethics. They have one priority MONEY instead of doing what is right!!

So many bad reviews but here’s my take. Con : There were a few problems after they were done, but whenever we found any, they would send someone ASAP. Sure it was a bother, but at least they responded in a timely matter. I think that’s the only con I can think of. Pro : 1. best sq ft/ price I could find. Been looking everywhere and they got the best deals 2. Options. Plenty of options/add ons to choose from. What I like is that we get to choose them and it’s not forced on us like some developers. If you wanna go dirt cheap, you can. But other developers will force you to get the more expensive stuff since that’s their base. Ex: AW will give you a cheaper material as their base, but other developers don’t use cheap material so you’re forced to use a more expensive ones.

We just bought our new home at the Silverado Summit community and our experience has been great. Todd has been wonderful to work with. Their team of people are friendly and helpful and have walked us through the entire process without issue. This builder offers more included features than most. I remember on our first house we got nickel and dime'd for everything and was surprised this time around at how much of what we had to pay for extra last time is included with this home at no extra cost. Yes, there are lot premiums, but that is pretty standard almost anywhere when you're buying a new home. Our lot didn't happened to not have one however. We chose to spend where it counted for us, which was inside the home. We are thrilled with our decision to buy with American West Homes.

American West still HORRIBLE !!!!! Please if you're looking for a house don't buy from American West you'll regret it. Keep driving by don't get out of your car. If you're a realtor don't bring your clients in they wont pay you your commissions your guest card will magically disappear. I've boughten a few new houses in the past this builder has been by far the most shady builder I've had the displeasure of dealing with.

Jennifer McCoN is a Con artist! I had signed a contract with her and she said everything was fine and I had sent my $3000.00 earnest money and she SOLD my LOT!!! I had tried to call her for 25 days straight and she just ignored my texts/calls until I finally had reached her! I then was put in touch with Scott S. then he told me that there was nothing that they could do. He then said that it had been escalated to the Vice President and he NEVER returned any of my calls either.... I am escalating this to a higher authorities the BBB, Attorney General and a surprise is coming soon. I plan to go to every avenue to get some resolution and my point across DO NOT BREACH A CONTRACT!!! If I could give this company a ZERO I would thanks for taking my dream home and lot away from me then scamming me with the Jewelery account for $250 to increase my score NOT!!! I will be in town soon to get this to the proper channels and I am sure I will get justice!
