American State Bank John Wayne Dr, Winterset

This bank has had the best customer service that I have ever received from a bank I moved here about 13 years ago and opened an account with them. Any issues have always been handled quickly and professionally. I have also had my debit card come up missing and they made it super easy and convenient to get a new one. All I had to do was verify it was me and show up to get it. Diana did everything else! Donna and Melissa have also always make things super easy and convenient for me! Thank you for all you do!

I have done banking business with American State Bank for many years. From the first the President and staff have gone out of their ways to assist me in whatever endeavor I have been involved with. Yesterday, without going into too much detail, I began a large transaction that under ordinary circumstances would not/could not be accomplished in less than 5-7 days. Dan Nielsen, Maria Forgy and Diane Jackson managed to get the entire process finished in 48 hours. They made the transaction happen for me and I am forever grateful. These people are the best!! I wanted to post a separate thank you to Maria. This particular transaction was made difficult by the person receiving the funds. Maria babysat us for 3 days. She answered every question, made phone calls and determined what exactly was going on. I don't think we would have kept our sanity during this time if it wasn't for Maria's devoted attention to us and the details required to complete this transaction. Thank you Maria!!!

American State bank has been both my personal place to bank as well as my business place to bank. Some examples of why I still continue to bank with American State Bank is because of our banking experiences. Last year my husband and I needed an auto loan. We looked at other places and the interest rates where crazy high. Winterset branch's, Bill Dicky was recommended to us to get said auto loan, HE WAS AMAZING. Got us the loan with a less than 4% interest rate. Today I received a call from the Winterset Branch, Katie and Melissa, ask if I had called the other branch, KNEW that I don't always do this and wanted to make sure my bank accounts were all safe. They knew ME well enough to know this. You don't get this type of "small town" relationships elsewhere! Thank you Katie, Melissa and Bill for all of your excellent service!!!

Great friendly staff! Bill and Connie both went above and beyond to make sure our land purchase went smoothly. All of the staff are friendly and helpful each week when we walk in the door. Will keep doing business here for years to come.

As a farmer its great to have a bank that gets how things work. Bill Dickey is always available to help and takes the time to understand what we need whether its livestock or crops. Connie was amazing to help us combine our home mortgage with a land purchase for our convenience. Diane and the whole staff are helpful each time we stop by for anything. There can't be a better place to bank!

American state bank seems to hire pleasant and super professional staff. I enjoy the drive though the most. Crystal Wood is always fast friendly and efficient. Gets you in and out with a smile and friendly hello. Great bank and employees.

I appreciate Winterset American State Bank's staff and service. They are friendly and professional in their demeanor and advice. They have demonstrated that they are willing (and do) go beyond what is required to provide excellent service and advice, which they have done on every occasion. I have banked there 5 years now. I can tell you they are the absolute best! I use the Winterset location. EVERYTIME I go in I get a ton of hellos and friendly help. Donna, Connie, Mellisa just to name a few and great to work with. I’ve dealt a lot with Bill and Myles on loans and business and they are great! Spot on everytime . Every employee in Winterset treats me like a friend and customer. I feel like I connect with my local bank. A plus!!!!
